Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ohmygod_smile I must have shot a furshot last night, but Tess is taking it in stride and coming down nicely now. Whew! late start again today, I can't claim morning even here on the west coast! :oops: :oops:

I may finally be recovered from last weekend, three days of standing/walking on a cement floor took it's toll on my back and knees.

I brought Emma into the house, but not loose and not too bad a reaction from Tess. other than that Emma has become quite the hunter of lizards!

I've decided to bite the bullet and get cataract surgery! My Dr wasted no time setting it up and it should happen in about 2 weeks. I figured I'm going to need it anyway (I'm down to 20/40 with correction!), so why continue to see poorly! but still, nailbite_smile

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club, and a quiet morning has passed, not showing any sign of the promised rain. Officially we are nearly 10" below normal rainfall for the season, although I think we aren't quite that bad here.

Oh Ann, I'm so excited for you to get the cataract surgery! I didn't know how badly my sight had deteriorated, until I had it corrected. By that I mean, white had turned yellowish, and I didn't even know it. I knew my sight was cloudy, but after surgery, whites were brilliant! I'm not exagerating, the difference was astounding!
I can't wait to hear how your ceramics colors look, after the correction!! Omigosh, you're gonna be so happy! :-D

:lol: :lol: :lol: Barb, do you think it will make my white laundry look less dingy!!!????? And all along I've been blaming it on the old iron plumbing! What kind of lenses did you get? I'm going for the regular mono vision as my Dr said even w/ glasses the fancy new "progressive" type will not give full clarity. Guess I'd rather see really well than have the convenience of no glasses!

Oh sure Ann, make me look like an idiot. I don't know what kind of lens is in my eyes.
I even have cards that I carry, identifying each.
I didn't need correction, except for reading, and use glasses for that, so why do I have implants? Duh. Gotta ask my DD when she wakes up. :lol:

I love how fast your dr got you scheduled... doesn't want you to have time to think about it.

I hear from others that it's not near as scary as we imagine it to be in our heads. Barely any different than the pressure
exam. I sure hope so.
It's one of those surgeries I dread because I have such an active imagination. nailbite_smile


Tess made it to the blue... hope she keeps going....

Hi Ann, sending lots of good vines for your upcoming cataract surgery. Good for your Dr arranging it so quickly, too. Did you know you had cataracts, or was it the vision getting bad?
So glad things went well with Emma and Tess. Before long I bet they will be friends. She had a nice slide today and maybe room for green, too.

Hi guys,
Nice downward trend today, Tess. Rusty was going good, too, but reversed course at PMPS. Maybe they'll both get to the lagoon at the same time one of these days.

Everyone I know who has had cataract surgery has had good results. My sister had both eyes done (she elected not to have a big correction). One friend just had her first eye done (correction to 20/20 from lord knows what high number; she's worn glasses since she was 6 and has bad astigmatism, too). She is raving about how well she sees and will have the other eye done in a couple of weeks.
I haven't reached that point yet. I like having my "second sight" (being able to see things up close by taking off my glasses--it's great for measuring insulin doses). Anyway. Good for you for making the decision and we will be eager to hear how it goes.

Nice blue, Tess! And so close to the lagoon... That's great that Tess wasn't too upset with Emma in her house. Maybe she will be glad to have a playmate? Paws crossed. Good for you for doing the cataract surgery. It's gotten to be pretty routine these days. I'm glad to hear you are recovered from the show. It sounds grueling.

Good luck with the cataract surgery! I think you will be so glad when all is said and done. Very cool.

it sounds like Emma and Tess are getting along better? Who knows, maybe eventually they will be good friends. :cool:
