Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Sunday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... and orange drizzle! SWEET!, and perfect for a winter day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was good, kinda mellow, but kinda busy too, Well, the morning was. I did get the shopping done, and the laundry, and paid the bills. WOOT! It was such a rainy day here that the rest was spent indoor, with a brief walk in the woods later in the day. Weather was a mixed bag.... where is spring? Oh wait... this is normal for spring here in the PNW. It was nice though not to have to do anything, or be anywhere, or have a deadline. Awesome in fact! :-D :-D Here's what I wrote last night about the day: "Happy Caturday Night LL! How has the day been treating you? it is 5PM here, and as I type this the sun is shining, the clouds are also ominous, the rains are falling, winds are picking up and we have several rainbows. convoluted!, and pretty at the same time. It is amazing what sun can do to the luminosity of raindrops. It's been a decent day here. POURED this morning, by 2 if had stopped, so I headed on out then: just walked the woods at meadowdale here at home, had a great time doing that. It was muddy as it could possibly be. No surprise I guess after all that rain this morning. Things are really starting to bud in the park. The contrast between the new green and the old gray was rather nice. Trillium is starting to bloom, well the one patch I could find is. Love that plant. anyways, rest of the day has been more or less an SOS day, shopping errands and laundry now done. No complaints though, it's nice to have a laid back, come as it may day. ;-) For anyone following the news of the horrific mudslide here in WA, a bit of news on Oso. The dept of Ecology has been out to the site, and in their opinion they feel the area is contaminated, what with all the propane tanks, septic systems etc. sheshhh.... what else could go wrong over there. Guess they will now do a formal assessment of conditions. Expected I guess. I feel for those folks.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were GOOD kitties yesterday, even Lola. Well, sorta on Lola.... Lola will always be Lola. She was one wound up crazy cat yesterday. The runs are always a constant thing here, but wow on yesterday. She flew through the house, careening around corners, sliding on the kitchen floor, flew over furniture, stopping at times to pound on any available glass surface.. NUTS! Her latest pounding surface: posters! She started that one a few weeks ago, hadn't been back to it, but guess she was making up for lost time yesterday. We were back to the posters... Sheshhh - I have a few framed ones, and she seems to think that they are really cool. Thank goodness there are no claws used with this pounding. She'd race, then pound, repeat several times over. Crazy cat! We had alot of paper bag annihilation too, after I get back from the store. Maybe she's excited to know one of those bags has Kitty fuds in it! Bug and Elsa were visibly thinking: I SO DO NOT KNOW HER!, just like every Caturday.... She was a good girl though after shopping, and made sure she played in the paper bag like she should. Our wet weather continues, so Bug and Elsa continue to hibernate. I can't say that I blame them! Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. An out and about for sure, but I think it will be local... to the shore if it isn't too cold, or wet, out there. :-D

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

The range of weather you guys get in one day always amazes me. Cool on the rainbows! And, even though it's scary, I always find sun-with-ominous-clouds to be very cool - as long as the impending storm isn't too violent.

Lola...what a card! I'm not surprised that she has discovered pounding posters is fun. That girl has a HUGE sense of adventure...I have a feeling she's never going to stop seeking out new excitement!

Have a great day, Michelle!

I'm glad you managed to get out for a walk yesterday. I always love seeing rainbows. on Lola and the posters. I wonder what she'll discover next?

Morning everyone! WOOT! Just heard from my son, he will be stopping by for breffis this morning, and just to spend some time. YAY! A kid visit! I think I will head on out early for a very short walk, maybe an hour, before he shows up. It is rainless right now, best go while I can. :-D

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) oh yes on that weather. We can get such a variety in a matter of an hour. Last night I was watching the section by my house: sun, blue skies, a few clouds. A mile south I could see the darkest ugliest clouds imaginable, and they were moving in on my blues skies. Within minutes it was pouring. But you are right - In too love the sky drama. it can be beautiful. The rainbows were awesome, and so vivid! Love it when we get them. Yes on Lola - they are covered in a hard acrylic type panel, so I am sure the surface appeals to her.   And yes she does: miss adventure to the max girl. oh boy....

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) I too wonder on Lola... omg! what will be next. I am just gad that these pounds are clawless! ;-) The rainbows were beautiful, and sure make my day when we are lucky enough to get one. Yesterday walk was nice, and I was ever so grateful that the rains lessened enough so I could get out.

Spring has sprung at meadowdale! I love the green :-D
Never a dull moment with Lola  What an assortment of personalities you have there

Enjoy your visit with your son :-D

Michelle, thanks for your comments last night. I've had too many geology courses not to offer my thoughts. Good to here that missing list is down to 30. Usually a missing list is way over stated because everyone reports people they can't reach, then it takes a long time to get them of the list when they turn up. A week or more is typical in my experience. Hope you get out for a nice hike today.

John

Hi Michelle, and hey Elsa, thanks for the coffees and pizzas for me and also my neighbors.
Love the pics at Meadowdale. Hope you get in a nice walk or hike today if weather allows. It looks like we will get some rain here this week or showers. Lola is so funny on the posters, something new there for her and always exploring. Katie also loves those paper bags. Have a great Sunday.

Elsa is quite the percussionist!
It sounds like you had a good day yesterday, Michelle ~ I hope today is good as well.
Trillium, rainbows, spring ~ it all sounds lovely!
Give Elsa extra scritches for the dessert coffee drink this morning ~ extra yummy! Thank you, Elsa!

PS:
It is amazing what sun can do to the luminosity of raindrops.
I love this!!

Hi everyone. here's to great weekend! I hope yours has been just that. It has been such a mixed bag again here today. Clouds to mist to wind to sun breaks to everything. About 2 the sun really broke though, which was nice. If this holds we should have a great sunset. I said that last night too, then the rains hit. I went for a short walk this morning before Anthony came for breffis, that was nice. I went on a flower hunt. There sure is alot in bloom right now, kinda cool. The walk was a short one, as I knew I needed to be back for breffis, and I truly hoped to hike later in the day when those forecasters assured us that it would be sunny. And.... drum roll! It was! We got that yellow thing in the sky about 2PM or so. With the sun break this afternoon I just couldn't sit in the house, so stopped the cleaning and went to send some time out on the trail here. That was nice, sunny and warm. I like that park when it is sunny, it just comes alive. Creek there was very full, running fast. What a great afternoon. Breakfast was great too - it was nice to be able to spend sometime with the kid, without him having to rush off to work. YAY! Anthony brought over the plans he has for a kitchen remodel of his place. WOW, that was impressive, and very nice, Not overly done, but basic and simple, but with much more room and functionality. He's looking at ways to cut the expense some, but still have what he would like. No plans to start this right away, just getting the feel for it, and what he wants.

Hi Jane ~O) Me too! The greens down there right now are so so cool!, and very vibrant. Very true on Lola, and I have to agree - they are all different from each other. Nice that those different personalities get along as well as they do too! THX - time with the kid was great.

Hi John ~O) Thanks for making the comments too! I have to agree with you on it all. I strongly feel that there is no way they can ever rebuild on that area. It is so unstable right now, and well, toxic as well. They reported on the decontamination procedures the rescuers, and the dogs, have to go through when they are done for the day. Interesting too in that the river is claiming some of the land. anyways - thanks for the comments, I really did appreciate reading them. Yes too on the missing. it has been a week now, the list seems to be staying at 30 for now. the fatality counts has risen to 21. -- THX too on today - got a few short ones in today.

Hi Ann ~O) THX on the pics. I did today too, a couple of short ones, but some is better than none. We finally got some sun, so good to go. Rains for you? Yes too on Lola, a new thing. I wonder with will be next - she's always looking to get into something. Too cool on Katie and the paper bags. makes for great inexpensive entertainment.
Auntie Ann! You are welcome! See you tomorrow, 'K? ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi Josie ~O) That she is!  THX on yesterday, and today. They have been good days: some busy parts, some laid back parts. All good. :), yupp: those Trillium, rainbows, spring were just that": Lovely, and very welcome. THX on the quote. I couldn't help but see it that way: the rain was falling, the sun was out, and the combo of the two - well, that is how it looked to me: Luminous.
Auntie Josie - COOL! Thx for throe scritches. i LOVE scritches! :-D You want another? ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi Michelle - loved your pics of the trilliums. I have some in the back yard and really must go and look for them. Great idea on the flower hunt - I'm doing flower spotting here too - saw the first blooming tulips today.

Our weather is just as variable as yours. We started out cloudy, went to rain, to cloud to rain to hailstorm  to rain and for a while sun and rain and now it's sun. Supposed to be beautiful and warm the next few days. Finally! I've got light glistening through raindrops on bushes in front of me - they really are pretty.

I love your families breakfast traditions - it does seem to be a real family meal for you. :-D Scritches to the kitty folk - including the cat who acts like she's been drinking Red Bull.

Hi Wendy ~O) THX on the trillium pics. I love that plant. I have one or two in the yard too, and need to get out there see if they are blooming here too. Cool on your tulip sighting! I haven't seen those here yet. I had planted some a few years ago, but the squirrels ate all the bulbs.... One has to love this spring weather huh, crazy out there, and I hope it settles soon. One has to love it when you get that sun glistening through rain drops. Yupp, we do do breffis's alot, it just seems to be a good time for us, and when most of us are around.

LOVE THIS:
Scritches to the kitty folk - including the cat who acts like she's been drinking Red Bull.
