Probably could have skipped adding the bit of MC in his snack last night Add in some NDW to that.

No change with him otherwise. Limping and wobbly. He gets prepped for tomorrow starting with tonight's gaba. I hope they can save the leg I feel somewhat guilty if the leg has to come off Like, was there anything more I could have done to help the wound heal in addition to what I was already doing?

Leroy will be the first surgery of the day. Hopefully there will be no complications

The vet just called me. He said it was ok to back out of surgery and that 99% of his clients do. But his other clients also would have stopped treatment long ago. He just wanted me to know that I'm doing everything I can for Leroy and that he wishes Leroy didn't have this issue.

Let me add a third to what Briana and Staci said. You've clearly done everything you've known to do for Leroy, and when you've not known what to do, you've taken him to the vet for their advice. And it sounds like the vet is also encouraging your diligence with Leroy. We will keep him and you in our thoughts and purrs, and we're sending all the vines.

I'm going to give him an ondansetron with his snack. He ate most of dinner. Hoping that will make him feel a little better, well his tummy anyways. The gaba later might help a little with whatever pain he has from the arthritis and wound. He hobbles on 4 legs right now. I don't know how bad it will be with one less leg

I searched FDMB again. Still no old posts on chronic wound / skin issues in diabetic cats. Leroy's issue can't be that rare. I wish all the posts going back to 1996 were retrievable somehow.
