Welcome to our HOME! After feeling like I'd lost it, I've decided we'll FIGHT for it if we need to - it's too important to us!

KT - SUCH a nice AMPS for a change! I've been shooting 2.5 u's for a few doses - gotta break these higher numbers. I figured out that part of that was MY boo-boo not realizing that PetSmart store brand - 'Great Choice' (old Sophistacat) is quite a bit higher in carbs than the Friskies he'd been eating! Some of it was almost MC! He's fairly carb sensitive so I've always tried to keep him under 8%. DUH!! Where's my stOOpid hat?
Scruffy - DIRT EATING! SOLVED! It's taken me almost 3 months to figure this one out! Last summer when (wild baby) Ziggy's food sat outside for several hours or got ants in it, I buried it in my drainage canal which I also use as a mini compost heap. We had to reroute part of it the last of last year when the flooding began. In the middle of the rain last fall, I dug and threw part of the dirt up into the middle of my teardrop planting area. This is where he was licking! He was licking bitty bitty bits of that old food but still had a 'taste'. I finally figured it out when I dug another hole, threw the dirt to the side where he immediately began inspecting it and licking it.
Harley (lymphoma drooler) has lost about 3 lbs which he needed to lose but it's the lymph nodes shrinking some due to the prednisone. HE has no idea he's 'sick' and my heart's about gotten over the news - when he does one of his silly Harley things, I realize how much I'll miss it but I'm 'living in the moment' with him, we're both smiling at the world again.
I'm even going to decorate my wall today altho' I'll probably post one over in 'Loose Lips' too...Loose Lips has it's place but it doesn't replace our 'home'. Let's see what I found! How about another rescue! This picture is 'Darla' (left) and 'Patches' (right). These 2 babies were abandoned when people moved out of a dump nearby. They left them locked in the house with no water or food. By the time we found the source of the cries, Patches was nearly gone. We carried them home and loved them back to health and found a home for BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER! That was a HUGE gift - they were so dependent on each other for everything. Darla was quite a bit older and at some time had been a 'lap dog' - can't understand how ANYONE could do this but it's a HAPPY story now!! (Excuse the mess they're standing in, we had to borrow vacant house's fence for a while. Here's the pretty babies about a month after we found them:
HUGS to all today!!! THANK YOU for visiting our home today! Every visit from each of you each day is like a huge gift handed to me to unwrap! I see a reply - I grab the ribbon, give it a tug and oh it's such a blessing.
