Looks like Eddie is going on to his third flat bounce cycle. :YMSIGH: He didn't immediately bounce after the PM cycle where he went low on 3/28, but it is a little weird for him to bounce for this long - or at least I think he's bouncing. Basically little or no movement off pre-shot for the last three cycles.

In the past, Eddie does sometimes have flat bounce cycles, but I don't recall him ever bouncing for three flat cycles before. Usually it's one, or once in a while, two flat cycles. Then again, he's never dipped as low for as long as he did during the PM cycle on 3/28. Just wondering if it looks like he's still bouncing to anyone else's eye. The question then is, how long do I wait it out. My concern being that if he sits above renal threshold for long enough the effects of glucose toxicity kick in again, and he will require an increase to bring him down. Is now the time to pull on the patience pants for another cycle or two? Or can I increase a smidge to "kickstart" things after another cycle or two if he remains stuck?

He may be flat, but that's not really considered high. It's just higher than you want. As low as he was, I'd give it a couple more cycles before I consider raising his dose again. Remember what dose he was on when he hit 35? You really want to avoid that. Maybe give him more time.

Thanks Deb. Gotta dig out the patience pants. Flat cycles drive me a little bit crazy. One cycle, no biggie...two gets a little tiresome, but three...starting to get impatient.

Well, not sure which direction we're going at +12, but will stall and just see where he's at in a half hour or so.

DH tested and got 155 and the 128. He asked me to test again (since the number looks strange), to see if he was doing something "wrong," and I got the 133. All three are within meter variance. Not sure if he's headed down or up at this time.

My mom brought with her an old doll bed that used to belong to me and my sister when we were kids that she made into a cat bed, and a basket that she added a pillow to for another bed. Eddie tried them both, and claimed both for himself. Here's him curled up in the basket by our deck door.

Darn, on the slip and slide tonight again. On the upside, the scale is coming back down. Can't seem to get any overlap without overshooting.

It really kind of makes me wonder if his pancreas gets stimulated if he's sitting in those lower numbers, and feeding those low numbers just keeps him going. Maybe that's why I had such a hard time getting him to stay up last time he dived.
 
That could be, but I've never read anything about that. Could be they just don't know. Medicine is not an exact science.
