Latte surfed the lower end of the 300's last night in her pred cycle, with lots of kibble on board as well. Improvement, I suppose!

Harpoons have been tried AND loved! Latte is very used to and good with injections so it does not bother her anymore or less. I dont expect it to do much of anything - absorption wise. But it will put my mind at ease that I am NOT giving a fur shot. And if I do, there will be no question about it! They will make a good security blanket.
Sadly Latte peed herself overnight. I just hate when that happens! I feel so bad for her. Though I question how much she cares. Its becoming a bit more regular these days. Something we had not experienced since the start of pred last summer. I did increase her sub q fluids yesterday because I think she was a bit dehydrated after I had put saucers of water on top of her water bowls the night before. She had not drank much overnight. Must have been too much work! i left them off last night and she drank A LOT while I was sleeping. That probably contributed to peeing in her sleep. I have total system set up to care for these mishaps, so we get it cleaned up real fast and move on.
This a.m. latte is very vocal, eating well, and drinking. I think I shot a kibble spike which might end the same time of insulin onset, meaning there is a potential for an extra big drop this a.m. Either that, or she is just feeling fine!
New job has been negotiated and starts TODAY! I mentioned late last night how that affects Latte -
1. I have the option most weeks of a 3 day wkend (unless picking up extra work at other jobs) to do curves, dose adjustments, care for any other health issues she has.
2. One day/week I will be able to get a +4 ...though it means I will not be home until right at pmps.
3. IF I had to, I can bring her to work WITH me! I am working in someone's home with their kids. Latte is not a kid friendly cat in her elderly years, but they have a seperate apt upstairs where I could keep her in a room. Of course this would only be in the case of an emergency since she will always be more comfortable at home on her throne.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!
