Latte surfed the lower end of the 300's last night in her pred cycle, with lots of kibble on board as well. Improvement, I suppose!
yesterday:

Harpoons have been tried AND loved! Latte is very used to and good with injections so it does not bother her anymore or less. I dont expect it to do much of anything - absorption wise. But it will put my mind at ease that I am NOT giving a fur shot. And if I do, there will be no question about it! They will make a good security blanket.

Sadly Latte peed herself overnight. I just hate when that happens! I feel so bad for her. Though I question how much she cares. Its becoming a bit more regular these days. Something we had not experienced since the start of pred last summer. I did increase her sub q fluids yesterday because I think she was a bit dehydrated after I had put saucers of water on top of her water bowls the night before. She had not drank much overnight. Must have been too much work! i left them off last night and she drank A LOT while I was sleeping. That probably contributed to peeing in her sleep. I have total system set up to care for these mishaps, so we get it cleaned up real fast and move on.

This a.m. latte is very vocal, eating well, and drinking. I think I shot a kibble spike which might end the same time of insulin onset, meaning there is a potential for an extra big drop this a.m. Either that, or she is just feeling fine!

New job has been negotiated and starts TODAY! I mentioned late last night how that affects Latte -
1. I have the option most weeks of a 3 day wkend (unless picking up extra work at other jobs) to do curves, dose adjustments, care for any other health issues she has.

2. One day/week I will be able to get a +4 ...though it means I will not be home until right at pmps.

3. IF I had to, I can bring her to work WITH me! I am working in someone's home with their kids. Latte is not a kid friendly cat in her elderly years, but they have a seperate apt upstairs where I could keep her in a room. Of course this would only be in the case of an emergency since she will always be more comfortable at home on her throne.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Re: 3/3 Latte AMPS-303

Any signs of improvement are great. So sorry she peed herself last night, but it sounds like you have it under control, Carolyn. You are such a good mommy bean! It's amazing at how much you do for Latte. Congrats on the job - glad you got it all worked out!

Re: 3/3 Latte AMPS-303, +2-320

Well, huh?!
She sure is not getting those +2 drops like she used to.
Nothing in her a.m. routine has changed. I wonder why this is?

Re: 3/3 Latte AMPS-303, +2-320

Sorry about the peeing. Bear hasn't peed himself yet, but as you know, he pees on the floor all the time. It's so sad to see them like that. Good luck with the new job. It's great you can take Latte with you if you need to!

Re: 3/3 Latte AMPS-303, +2-320

ok why is there a rainbow icon next to our subject line?
Yesterday there was a 911 icon!

guess I should be more careful when updating from my phone, eh?

+3-290
slow as a snail, yet eating like a horse!

Well Latte managed to sneak in some yellow for you today.
Sometimes nice slow and flat are very nice and a sign that action will come.
Max barely dropped the entire day yesterday (flat yellow) and today he has dropped
like a bag of rocks.
Much better for Latte to mive along slowly.
Good news about the job. I hope it works out for you and maybe you will be able
to bring Latte with sometimes.

Re: 3/3 Latte AMPS-303, +2-320,+4-298

So that's quite a nice perk with the new job - take a kitty to work day!
Nice slow drop too.
Whoa, sounds like the phone is messing with you~

PMPS-288 (pred cycle)

high yellow surf today, apparently.
Will up dose to 2u tomorrow. Not around to monitor during the day. Though Im not sure its going to budge her, so maybe it wont matter if I do it am or pm.

I cant say for sure because I have not analyzed her ss in regards to this...but why does it seem like each time I reduce, it doesnt hold and I have to go up even HIGHER than what we reduced from? Am I reducing too soon and messing her up?

She is her usual evening self- sleeping the night away....

Carolyn - I have new found respect for your number/med/food juggling that you do for latte. This pred stuff can kick the numbers into orbit! Sorry about the wetting self. We are having some litter box issues, too. I think she gets in box but just - and therefore the aim ends up partially out of box. This am I swear it was all - it missed the piddle pad under the box even. UGH.

Hope you get some better numbers soon. Thanks also for your help/suggestions with Tuscany and her pred.

congrats on the new job. so glad it works well for Latte too !

After winnie passed stones she would be incontinent in her sleep.and she had a hard time getting to the box fast enough other times..... so.... piddle pads everywhere......
the peeing in the sleep was hard on the heart. ((( carolyn )))
I'm glad you guys have a system down that works.

one stab in the dark -- i looked at latte's profile - med list.
has she ever been on cosequin or dasuqin?
it worked wonders for winnie's sterile cystitis ......... wondering outloud if it might help latte's incontinence on the off chance that she had some cystitis going on?
well like I said a stab in the dark....

best wishes on your new job
