Yesterday's Triumphant (?) Return Condo

We have a flat yellow cat again today. I guess I shouldn't complain, since I'll be gone a little later this afternoon, but I'm ready for some blues and greens, please! That darned depot oughta be full by now (I know, it can take up to 6 cycles, but I want it now!!!). Cinco, I'll be home all evening and have no plans for tomorrow if you want to have a party tonight.....;)

Minka and Sasha are in their usual "coaxing required to make me eat" modes. Minka has been coming down and nibbling here and there - everyone's food is better than what's on her plate (even though it's the same stuff!). She gave me a bit of a scare a few minutes ago. She was relaxing on the back of the love seat in the family room ( a few feet away from me). I heard a soft thud and turned to see she had rolled off the loveseat and landed on the sofa table that stands behind it! I jumped up to grab her, but just missed as she slid down between the table and the loveseat to the floor! It all seemed to happen in slow motion. She was fine, but I was pretty shaken up! :eek: I gave her some cuddles and combed her a little and she wandered off in search of more snacks. :rolleyes:

We interrupt this condo for an important message.....Cinco just called me over for his post-lunch back rub! Of course, I had to go. His black hoodie looks kind of gray with all the creamy golden fur on it. I'm planning to take it off tonight at shot time and then watch to see if it's safe to leave it off. If not, I have another shirt waiting. It must have some insulin on it from the fur shot Dawn got, as I smelled Lantus just now when I was rubbing him, but I don't think DH got a fur shot this morning.....o_O

Harvey is still absolutely insatiable, so I plan on discussing that with the IM this afternoon. I'll be interested to see how his weight compares to what it was the last time she saw him. I haven't done a weigh-in in the past week, so I'll have to check everyone tomorrow.

Time for me to get my act together so I'll be ready to chase Harvey down and head off to UCD on time.

FLat yellow does come in handy sometimes! Where you able to get garlic pretzel bites last night? I hope so!

More Minka - what a scare! Zen fell off the bed last night, too...scared the crap out of me. He was chasing his tail (I hate when he chases his tail - he "caught it" once with one of his claws and it totally freaked him out. But now he chases is tail on the bed in the middle of the night o_O:nailbiting:!), lost his balance, bonked his head on the nightstand on his way down. Man, my heart can't take some of this crap :confused:!!!

For being notoriously graceful creatures, those darn cats can sure be clutzy at times. No, no, no, Minka. When you're on the back of the loveseat, you cannot roll over to get more comfy...roll overs equal roll offs and that scares the mama.

Vines for the UCD visit. Be good boy, Harvey.

Oh, and Cinco. Surfing is good. How 'bout blue instead of yellow, though. So flat today.

Poor Minka. I'm glad she was okay. I hope those flat yellows mean blue for Cinco later tonight. Sending good vetty vines for Harvey.
 
Those kitties love to freak us out with that, don't they?! Skooter hasn't done anything like that in a long time (thank goodness)....

Care what you wish for.....remember the last time you told Cinco he could have a party? lol

Thanks for the visits, Elise, Amy, Marilyn, Carla, Molly and Serryn. Not much to report on Harvey's vet visit. They did a full panel and a T4 - the IM was concerned about the fact that Harvey has been eating a lot but his weight hasn't really changed. She wants to make sure he isn't hyperthyroid (just what I need!). His BG was good, so that was a relief - they'll be watching that, with the Pred. I should have the results tomorrow. We were there a long time, as they did a a BP check, which takes a while (it was good). Poor Harvey, I never thought to ask them for a litter box, and he peed in the new carrier on the way home! :eek: The cushion that comes with it has a washable cover, and I had two layers of pee pad in there, but the carrier still smells like pee. I wiped it out with a soapy rag and then water, and sprayed it with Febreeze. I washed the cover on the hand wash cycle and sprayed the foam that was inside it with Febreeze, too. Carrier and foam are in the garage to air out. I hope that will take care of the odor!

Cinco is still flat yellow. He's been eating like he's starving yesterday and today, and drinking a lot of water. I'm not sure what that's about. I just saw him in the box, straining to go. He dragged his butt across the box, then got out and dragged it across the carpet (leaving no marks, thank goodness). I thought he must be constipated, so I put 1/4 tsp of canola oil in some FF and gave it to him, and then I saw that he had managed to go just a little bit - on the carpet, of course! :rolleyes: But with the amount he's been eating, it should have been more, so I put 1/8 tsp of Miralax in his next snack. I don't understand where this came from. I don't think Dawn forgot to give him his squash, as we talked about it. If he is constipated, that could explain his BGs, but it doesn't make sense, since he's eating like crazy. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so confused!!! Can't we just have everyone doing well for a couple of days in a row??? Please?!!!

I took the hoodie off of Cinco and gave him a good rubdown and brushing, which he enjoyed. The hotspot area is still just a little pink, so I put another shirt on him. I ordered it for Sasha and it was too big, so it's pink! Mark is making fun of him, but I told him real men wear pink, and Cinco doesn't know what color it is, anyway! :rolleyes::p:joyful:

@Amy&TrixieCat, I did get the garlic pretzel bites last night. I got a double order, and not enough people helped me, so I ate way too much of them! I was miserably full when I got home! :confused::rolleyes:
 
White vinegar is a great deodoriser you just spray it on and leave it. Apart from the little accident so far so good on the vet report :)

As for Cinco - do you think he's had a fight with China! I hope he's not constipated too, there's been way too much of that going around And pretty please can we have a photo of him in his pink T
 
Oh, I know that "too full" feeling...but you did have to make up for lost time!!

Sending poop vines along to Cinco....maybe he's a little discombobulated from you guys being away last weekend???? I hope everyone is doing well today - and that it stays that way!!
 
Cinco, my friend.....I know you and Skooter like to do things together, but no need to have solidarity when it comes to constipation....instead, why don't you show him how easy it is to go!

Mmmmmmm, garlic pretzel bites......hungry just thinking of them and I have never even had them.....
