Good morning, LL!! Birds are already chirping here on this beautiful warm day in KC. The pollen is in full force, so I can't say I'm thrilled! Allergies are doing a serious number on me! Last night, Willie assisted with raking leaves in the backyard. For the most part, he'd just sit and supervise, occasionally coming over to inspect a pile. And then he'd come over and just start chattering away, demanding to be petted. If I stopped, he'd be up on his hind legs batting at my hand for more!   After running to CVS for allergy meds (and a sub from Goodcents across the street... no cooking for the weary!), I had to settle in on the couch for some extended cuddles from Herbie who had to give me a once over to make sure I had properly survived spending time outdoors. When Willie finally came in, she rushed over to him, greeting him with literally a little leap in the air, a "thank heavens! you survived!" chirp and a nose kiss.
My dad is having thyroid surgery today, so I'm a bit preoccupied. Hoping they can avoid having to break his breastbone, which adds significant recovery time. He should be out of the hospital in time for the surprise visit on Sunday.
Off to find the kitters and shower... Willie had come btb, but left in a huff when Bit Bit came up on to the bed, clearly in the mood to play. She's now gone off too... Guess I should be up as well!
Have a great day!
