Yes they do know when to drop lower. You can do everything exactly the same as every other day but the day you have something to do outside of the house....BAM! Drama kings and queens all of them LOL

MC because DH opened the wrong can last night and almost fed LEO with it. Nooooo! I said, though he knows the food in the back in the bag is ONLY for low BG purposes--DH is having memory issues--a whole other matter. :confused:

If I need to feed HC, please say do. Leo has eaten the mixed MC & LC.... about a TBL or so.

Do you think it's safe for me to leave the house for lunch with a friend? She just got a job after being home for several years taking care if her mom (w Alz)... who passed 1.5 yrs ago.... long story. She starts work on Wednesday.

Can you leave out some snacks in an auto feeder and if so will he eat them if you're gone?

He usually nadirs around +5 to +6....he is coming up nicely but the mc you gave earlier will wear off soon.

I'd say if he eats while your gone then sure go for it. If he gets weird and wont eat out of af ifnyoure gone then maybe not.
 
It is now four hours after AM shot.
My friend already made alternate plans and I think I missed the opportunity since I haven't heard back for 45 min. I'm still home.

I'm sorry it sucks when we have to change or cancel plans. Had I known earlier I probably would have told you to give some higher carb instead of surfing on LC. As Bhooma has told me we all have to have some life sometimes or we will go crazy!

Not your fault! I don't want to use food as a BG controller for my convenience--except if very necessary. I don't get out much at all socially, so that's just the way it is. It would have been nice. Her bday is 3/1 & mine is 3/13. We are the same age.
It's all good, though. Maybe Leo can become extremely regulated and even remission... I can hope! :joyful:

I totally get this thought process. I am pretty unsocial myself. But every once in awhile for our sanity it's ok. It wont hurt him. Not like you use food all the time. As caregivers we need breaks too:bighug: just a thought for hopefully a next time. Take a minute for you sometimes its allowed.
 
Anyone know if these are good syringes? I've already experienced some for ADW that do not plunge to zero. Grrrr.
