Checkers' numbers have been nicely low for a few days, and because I knew I couldn't be around to check on him I lowered his dose amount this morning. I kept worrying about him all morning, so did go home from work to check on him and he was at 62. It's pretty nerve wracking wondering how he is when I can't keep an eye on him.

What should I be giving him the next few mornings when no one can be around to check on him throughout the day?

Re: 3/28 dosing help for when can't be home to check

I try to check him twice before I leave -- once as soon as I get up, thenonce again right before I give him his insulin which is usually about an hour after the first check. That way I can try to get a handle on whether he's going up or not. Then the next time isn't until I get home from work, but it's not unusual for me to work a 10 hour day -- which means I wouldn't be getting back to check until about an hour or so before his PM shot.

Today was so nerve-wracking for me that I did leave work and go home to check him, then gave him more food. He was alert --- but I don't know what happened between the AMPS and the +6ish check.

Re: 3/28 +12 at 88 dosing advice

Checkers has had a nice surf all day and his numbers are still low. I've got 1.0F ready to shoot. Do I do that much or possibly skinny it up?
