Hi AMPS again today. Do you think I should wake up and see if he's dropping before this? I doubt it. It's so discouraging. I just said, "I give up" again when I saw this 407 on the meter. But, of course, I can't give up. I feel a lot better now (that was just a momentary pity party early in the morning without coffee). Now I've had lots of coffee and I'm ready to fight and probably give more supplemental R insulin now. I'm off to check his +6 and will see (I'll add it to my title.) He seems happy right now... almost playful.

+6.5 was 318 so I gave more R insulin. He's eating his second meal of the day now so he's going to need it ... he'll go up.
 
Oh Suzanne (I just started looking out for what's going on with Minnie's buddies)...I feel your pain with the consistently high numbers, AND you've been at it longer than I have. So frustrating. This whole thing is such a rollercoaster. I can't believe how much it affects my frame of mind when I see blues on the spreadsheet! Sometimes I wish I wasn't tracking the numbers :woot:.So, you have my sympathy but if he's seeming happy and sleeping that's a good thing.

What news on the Levemir delivery? If it shipped Monday I think you should see a tracking update by now, it should have left the "void of no tracking info"?

Oh, the Levemir is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I only hope I will be home because a signature is required and I have been invited to a party for a woman I know who has just earned her American citizenship. So I am thinking I won’t be at home. My husband may or may not hear the knock on the door when our mail carrier comes. He often wears headphones at the computer so that will make it difficult to hear. I’m thinking of leaving a note on the door with my signature and releasing the carrier to leave the package? I wonder if it will work? I definitely don’t want the insulin sitting around for any more days. Thanks for asking!
 
I forgot that! Mine said on the emails that signature was required but they just left it in the mailbox. Seemed weird but I put it down to Canadian/American "differences". Enjoy your party!

I hope that my mail lady will leave it on the front porch where she usually leaves the packages. I'm thinking it will say perishable on there? Hope so. I'm really anxious about getting the Lev!
