Thanks! That picture was taken on her first Christmas with us...she was about 3 at the time, and - to put it mildly - she came from a "sketchy" previous family. To quote them directly, they considered her to be a "Pain in the a$$." She is anything but...she is very cuddly and snuggly - a real love who appreciates what she has. We call her "velcro kitty", because no matter where we are, there she is. She is also a very typical tortie (even though she's a dilute tortie)...just a wee bit demanding. She expects all the civvies (there are 5 of them) to cater to her every whim (heaven forbid should she actually wash her own ears!!). She's a a very special little kitty, and every time I look at her I realize how lucky we are to have her as part of our lives. It sounds silly, and as stressful as FD is, I am thankful that she is with us now, because if she was in her previous home I'm sure she would have been PTS because of her diabetes. She has given us a very special opportunity.

I never would have thought tortitude - I only think of the non dilute ones for some reason.

Oh, the dilute variety definite have tortitude, too. She's the smallest in the house, and the last to enter the clan, yet she has the upper paw! All she has to do is give one of the boys "the look", and they scurry away....quickly. But, within 5 minutes, she expects them to keep her warm - and they comply. It's a pretty interesting dynamic to watch!

she looks silky in the photo - i had been thinking she looked huggily too! Nice numbers for Trixie tonight!

the vet tech that's coming tomorrow night told me her FD cat was nicknamed Velcro too - because whenever they tried to check her BG she glommed onto their bodies like velcro. I said "oh how cute" and she said "uh huh. cute." :-D

how do you give Trixie her shots?

Her fur is really short, but very, very soft. It actually makes it hard to "find skin" because it's so slippery!

We have an ottoman in our family room. That has become the "testing and shot station". When she hears the clicking of the lancing device, she comes running and takes a flying leap onto the ottoman. It utterly amazes me!

Speaking of which...time for 3/26 AMPS....
