Good morning FDMB family!!!! :-D

My 5th grade teacher once told me a bad day is usually followed by a good day...lol, and so far she's been right!

I woke up to a nice yellow AMPS, a hungry kitty and a "gorgeous" litter box!!! + 4 and he's in the blues!!! :-D :-D :-D

He's very playful, digging in his toy basket and playing with everything. It's so good to see him like this again!!!

And...still ketone free!!! YES!

Do I ease up with his fluids today? Maybe just give him .50mls later on?

Fingers crossed he stays in the right direction and doesnt bounce around into those blacks and reds... I hate that.

no advice on the fluids, but very nice to see sasha in "normal" diabetic numbers today!

yesterday's increase looks like it was just the thing.

I think your plan on fluids is fine as long as you increase if you get the slightest hint of ketones....that would just be my suggestion; of course, any guidance by your vet takes precedence!

Thanks guys!!!! Although I'm wondering if I spoke too soon... geez...he went up to 429 pretty quick! I am not going to give him R. He's still ketone negative and eating well.. so I am going to let him ride this one out... and see what happens.

He doesnt want Wellness, Evo, he wants his Fancy Feast classics... so that's what he's getting! I'm wondering if that caused him him to become so high in a matter of hours, but I didnt let him eat at after +10...hmmmmmm

Tonight I am going to go ahead with the .50mls...

Hi Tara (and Sasha)!

Glad to hear Sasha found the blue floor yesterday.

I had a kitty who was susceptible to infections and would see her BG fluctuate at crazy rates. When the infections were cleared, she became a bit more level. It could be a possibility with Sasha. It could also be as simple as his liver having a major panic attack.

I hope the fortiflora arrives soon and that it helps.
