Well, I am living with Houdini cat. I think if I could name him again, I would hame him bad Leroy Brown. Anyway, he was on the patio all night (secure, but no access to his auto feeder). I guess I have the answer about the p.m. mini meals in the feeder--they are helping. His BG this morning was much higher.

Plan of attack is to get new Lantus this week, assess if it's doing more than the vial I have, and adjust dose from there. Still need to get the overall level down a bit!

yesterday! with fructosamine of 197 and vet conversation (vet thinks we need to stop insulin, but we are going to keep at it because we don't think Simon can quite make the journey to the falls on his own yet.)

Oh wow on Houdini Cat... and bad Leroy Brown. An all nighter on the patio huh. I have a civvie that would love to do that as well. Simon - what will we do with you.

Good luck with the new lantus - hope it helps too. Interesting on the vet. Mine too thinks that anything at 200 or lower is good to go. Seems to be the norm with alot of vets. Kudos to you for continuing with the insulin.

I did my bedtime test and I think he slipped out when the drooler was let out to go potty. A nice night and DH left door ajar for a minute. We can call Simon white lightning too!

Our vet thinks 150 or lower is great, guess they all are of the same mind--
The longer you keep Simon on insulin, the stronger it makes the pancreas to support him so that at some point he wont need it anymore--Lots of beans try to ruch the OTJ and many come back, but those who
Go Slow are the ones who stay OTJ--You are doing great! Just a little longer & see what happens-OK?

Simon just wanted to enjoy the great weather! Was he crying to come in this morning, or was he perfectly content to stay out there all night?

I noticed, too, the one time I went to bed without putting an overnight meal in the autofeeder, that Atticus was unusually high the next morning. I hope Simon comes down nice and easy today.

Hi guys .. nice blue this morning for simon .. My vet also thinks mochas numbers are way to low, she was so concerned about them at one point, she contacted fellow vet's in the area to have a look at her SS .. I think it's best to stay on the juice as long as you can .. that's why we were aiming for 2 years .. :lol: :lol: JUST KIDDING MOCHA, JUST KIDDING! (In case she reads this!) have a great day!
