Today is echo day for Ollie. Last year it was snowing and I didn't know where the place was. At least this year it's not snowing.

Anyone heard from Janine and Floyd? I peeked on his ss. Wondering if he is still on caber.

We are back home. Cardio said echo was better. She put up a fight this time. She growled, hissed and tried to bite. Her first one she had no energy to do any of that and to sick to care. Did not hear the galloping heartbeat. Murmur still grade 2. I asked about subq fluids. He said absolutely no more than 100 ml twice a week. That's good I barely get more than 50 ml in her. He asked how much Dr wanted to give when I told him 300 ml he was floored. He asked if they knew she had hcm, I said of course, I refused the 300 ml and we settled on 75 ml. We got to talking and I mentioned the lactulose and how I had to get it from Canada because vet said it has sugar. Cardio said it was crazy it's not digestible so it's okay. Ask them for cisapride, I said it is on my list for Wednesday visit. Then he says, it's crazy you have to go through all this to help her. I told him it is but at same time Olive is unique as they don't have another acro in either practice she has been to, so it's new to them. Even her insulin is uncharted territory for them, had to get from Canada also And it was transported down with her. The tech helping him was just full of questions and asked how I knew all this and where to get from.

Olive went into LB, pooped 2nd time today and jumped up on the couch and is fast asleep. Guess all the tummy rubbing helped her get it out.

What a great echo report! I remember Neko’s cardio vetty being worried when she wasn’t her usual feisty self. Good to know they remember that about the cat. Sounds like your cardio Vet is a keeper. I hope he passes the message about fluids to your regular vet.

Sounds like a good vetty visit. I agree with Wendy, the cardio vet sounds like a good one! Hope Olive gets a good rest tonight and is ready to get back to business tomorrow!

he put the fluid restriction on the report. He is the only cardiologist that is in the area. He goes to all the big/ER facilities in PA, CT, Parts of NY, NJ. I guess I could go to Cornell or Penn State but they are a days drive. As it is to see this one it's 45 minutes one way. This time of year it's iffy with the weather.

Same cardio that put the meds she should never get on the 1st report.
