Trix did some beautiful surfing last night, and hasn't strayed too far from the lagoon today.

We tried a brand new brand and flavor this morning: B.F.F. (Best Feline Friends) Tuna and Chicken Chuckles. She LOVED it - and lookie, no fuds spike! And, I think/hope this was a "This is really good, let's keep it!" kind of love, rather than the oh-so-familiar "Hmmm, this is different and interesting; I think I'll eat it once then refuse to look at it again" kind of love. It was very exciting to see her so thoroughly enjoy her food, so I really, really hope this one is a keeper. According to the charts, all of the flavors of this brand should be good, both in carbs and phosphorous, but they're also all seafood flavors, and I want more variety for her than that. So, it would be part of the rotation, but not the only brand. I've got a few other complete newbies lined up to try, too.

At the same time, Frankie actually seems to love the BG beef! I think she's just about the only cat on earth who likes that stuff. So I'll keep a few of those stocked, too, for her.

It's another work day, and I want to squeeze a quick workout in before hand, so I'll do most of my visiting later. Have a great day, LL!

Those are some nice numbers to start your day with Trixie girl.

I know what you mean about them liking the first can, and then it's a question on whether they'll eat the second can.
I hope she continues to like the new food.

Hi Amy, that is good news on the BFF food. I may give it a try as Mags seems like similar fuds as Trixie. It's hard to find one they like that meets the phosphorus levels. Beautiful surf there, go Trixie!

I so hear you on the fuds. I hope it is a keeper. I have been looking for that brand too (BFF), but haven't found it yet.

This +5 has been brought to you by DopeyBean ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ...shortly after starting Trix's condo, DopeyBean - once again - took for granted that TrixieBug was soundly snoozing in the other room while Zen and Noah where enjoying a round of kibbles. She was not. Will DopeyBean EVER learn???? At this rate, it does not seem likely ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile . But maybe, maybe this time will do the trick.

Truth be told, I am always running so late that I attempt to multi-task...rather than standing guard while the kibbleheads are crunching, I attempt to do things like load the dishwasher and pack my lunch if I think Trix is otherwise occupied. I really need to learn how to better manage my time, so I can monitor the kibbles 9 even if I am POSITIVE that Trix is dead asleep on the other side of the house, get everything else done I need to get done, and get to work on time. Not enough hours in the day.....

With that....back to work.

ETA: Michelle - very fortunately there are a couple very nice, high-end Ma and Pop pet fuds shops in my area that carry all sorts of great brands...but no FF, Friskies, or anything along those lines. I am lucky to have the best of both worlds here.

The Trixster is up to her old trix! Maybe shut her in another room? That's great to find fuds that they really enjoy. :-D :-D We might have to try the BFF for Zener.

It's this beans fault....I thought she was snoozing, and I should have known better! Even if she is dead asleep, she can hear the crunch of a kibble and be there in a heart beat. I've got to stop trying to do too many things at once and just keep a solid eye on the kibble heads....

That's crazy, they can be so sneaky ;-) I hope the stolen kibble doesn't affect the BG too much! I have a few cans of the BFF in the cuboard. I haven't tried yet but am saving for "no eating" days that I am sure will come, I figured with fish in them they'd be a slam dunk. I'm glad to hear from someone who has tried them :-D Have a great rest of your day!

I assume total responsibility for that PMPS, given she managed to pull off two kibble raids because yours truly was attempting to do stuff other than guard the kibble heads. But, she's doing a great job of clearing it...thank you, Trix! I wish I could have gotten a more accurate read on the BFF Tuna and Chicken Chuckles, if it weren't for my bumbling. But she did have Round 2 tonight; she was not quite as enthusiastic as this morning, but still CPCed it. I do think it's a keeper!

Hi Amy & Trixie,

I've seen the BFF brand, but since all the flavors are fish, it's a no-no for us. (Rusty is allergic to fish. I even have to carefully read the labels of cans that purport to be "chicken", since many of them have fish as an ingredient.) I hope Trixie continues to like the BFF. Ya never know!!

I laughed when I read about the kibble-stealing ~ that always seems to happen when I'm rushing in the AM ~ 'Ripley's sleeping, so I'm going to quickly brush my teeth...' then I hear the dreaded crunch crunch crunch... ohmygod_smile :lol: ohmygod_smile
These animals know how to be sneaky, that's for sure!
