Nice overnight cycle; looks like we may get a bit of a break today. Still waiting for the Levemir.

OBTW, did your civvies bloodwork and checkups all come back okay?

Yep, mostly good. Bloodwork was totally fine for both of the older cats (age 12). They both had some protein in the urine (1+ for Ariel, 2+ for Puck) and we're going to recheck in a few weeks. Puck is starting on transdermal amitriptyline to see if that helps with the spraying (at least three times in the past week... this is getting tiresome). Freya (age 2) was totally fine.

I've had pretty good luck with Prozac or Paxil on some sprayers in the past. Never had luck with amitriptyline on them... I tried a lot of the others too and didn't have luck... but every cat is different. Does he have particular spots he sprays?

Sort of. Next to my bed (both sides) on my bed, kitchen table, front and back doors, top and bottom bunks of my teen's room, under the office desk, etc. Bathmats until we gave up and stopped using them. (OK, now that I'm typing it out this is a really long list...) I'm using Bac Out to try to get the smell out. Feliway in the kitchen; I might add it elsewhere. If amitriptyline doesn't help we'll switch to something else.

Oh, that is a lot of places. I'm sorry. I KNOW how frustrating this is -- been there. SO IRRITATING! I have used Zero Odor Professional with pretty good success.

Oh, thanks; I'll check that one out. (I was using Nature's Miracle but didn't like the smell. Bac Out is lime- much better.)
