Hi everyone!:bighug: Lily and I have been lazy and not posting for a few months. Hope everyone is doing well. Lily has improved quite a bit lately and it looks like she is no longer bouncing!! I am excited about that but sometimes it can be a relief and you can get some much needed sleep.:) She was at 38 this morning so I decided to go ahead with a reduction and if we have to increase down the road we will.
Just wanted to check in and let you know we are still chugging on!

Hi Sally. So nice to see this update. Sally is looking fabulous. :DEven long terms earn an immediate reduction if u see 40 so I am glad you took it. Don’t be a stranger!

Thanks Elise!! Is it possible Lily can reach remission?? I know it mostly happens a lot quicker but I am hoping!!

It definitely is possible. I think she would have gone into remission early on had she not been on Vetsulin or switched immediately rather than going off when Vetsulin dropped her too low. Maybe not. In any case we have seen cats go into remission after 2 years and even longer. She was young when diagnosed and is still on the young side so definitely possible.

Please be careful. You should have reduced on 3/21. She dropped into the 20’s . Any bg under 40 is a reduction earned. Always take it.

How’s she acting? Feeling good? Eating well and has energy?

I hope you, Patty, and the family are all well.

Yes, she is feeling great. I have another cat, Pepper that was diagnosed with bone cancer and had to have his right leg amputated so he is now keeping Lily company in the bedroom. These babies are keeping me busy. So thankful for retirement.
Thanks for letting me know about 3/21, that got past me for sure. I had just increased to .75 that morning and she got so low at PMPS I decided to go back to .50. I was glad I did. We had quite a night.

Patty, Tara and mom are all doing great. I am going up this weekend to see them, haven’t been since Christmas. Thanks for everything Elise!!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's wonderful when they stop bouncing so much!

Can I ask a favour, can you change the subject line to show the AMPS was actually 56 and that you didn't shoot a 38. If you want to show the 38, you could list it as +12 38 AMPS 56. This is more for lurkers who also read the message board.
