Good Morning, Everyone, Happy Saturday,
Rusty ate all his nighttime food, but I think he ate most of it close to when the alarm rang. He is not liking the "American" Wellness and hardly touched his breakfast--even the FF T&G side of his bowl. I may have to return my 2 cases of Wellness. In the meantime I may go up to Plattsburgh to see if they have cans from the Canadian Wellness plant.
In general it's been a pretty good morning. Rusty had a good test, shot, basically ignored his breakfast (maybe he'll eat it later), good schmooze, good "lung treat", a nap in his little bed by the radiator.
We got another 2 inches of snow last night. But it is warmer than yesterday and the wind has that "March-wind" feel to it. I like to read a wonderful poem, "Vorfrühling" (early Spring, or "pre" Spring) by Hugo von Hofmannsthal at this time of year. It begins: "The spring wind wafts through empty streets. Strange things are in its blowing. . ." Great atmosphere (not so much in my translation, however!)
Tonight is "Earth Hour" (turn off your lights from 8 P.M. to 9 P.M. to show concern and support for Mother Earth). We had friends over for candlelight dessert last year, but this year the date snuck up on me and we didn't have time to prepare. So we'll just celebrate by ourselves.
Everyone enjoy the weekend,
Ella & Rusty
