got the shot in while he was eating today. he barely flinched, although moved a tad away from me at the end.

punkin's snoozing against his nanner and seems quite content.

Good morning guys .. sunny yellow for punkin! Glad to hear the shot went in with no problem .. we could never give mocha her shot while feeding ... it took both of us to hold her down and get it in! Have a great day guys!

Morning! what a sunny yellow start for punkin today - YAY! Blues next little one, OK?

Mannie gets his shot at feeding time too. He's so engrossed in food that 90% of the time he ever knows what hit him. It works really well for us. :-D

for the past week we've been burrito-ing him on the cooktop - and it took 2 of us and was still a fight. he's mastered the art of Turtling - pulling his head back into the towel to protect his scruff. i think restraining him is making him mad. but earlier he wouldn't come and eat because he knew there was a needle ambush waiting.

i guess we'll have to keep a constantly changing arsenal of tricks to stab the little guy.

Thinking the lantus may have expired - it's on day 32 and at the beginning I rolled it, like i had done with the Prozinc, not knowing you weren't supposed to. Or, maybe we've got New Dose Wonkiness going on? But with it going up at the nadir today, i'm thinking it's more likely the lantus.

Picked up a solostar pen today and will start it tonight.

and in the meantime, Anya is into the diabetic testing stuff for punkin. She LOVES the arm of the sofa where i leave everything for testing. "WOO-HOO, a cap for the lancet" "a BOX? You left me a BOX?" It's the simple joys in life. :-D

reading your posts makes me miss Corvallis...
I think you'll love the pen...just be aware that sometimes the first couple of draws (in my experience)
are not as easy as all the ones following...kinda dribbling into the syringe, (if that makes sense)

corvallis is beautiful. i love it - it's like Perfect Small Town Ville here - actually, we got named the Best Small Town by somebody - US News and World, maybe? not sure. but it is a nice place - especially this week with the students gone there's zero traffic. Pull up to an intersection, stop and go. Not even a wait. We live kinda on the side of a hill in the midst of an area of oaks - so i look out on limbs and mossy oak treetops from my living room. It's a special kind of beauty.

HA! got it in while he was eating again! woot!

I'll be curious to see if the shot tonight from the new pen is stronger and if we get more of a reaction to it.

what's with all the 200's? if you look at his SS he's been pretty flat here for several days. is this a New Dose Wonkiness? a refill shed from the dose decrease attempt? anybody able to educate me a bit?
