Check that AMPS out! Cobb did a nice job of coasting back down through the day yesterday. He rewarded me with a low blue preshot! I'm very happy about that!

What does he have planned for today? Who knows?!

Not much else going on around here, except the impending mobility of Matty. He walking with his walker and starting to let go of stuff and balance for a second. We had his 9-month doctor's appt on Friday and the dr said if he's doing that, the only thing holding him back from walking is "personal preference." I said, "my personal preference?" The doctor had a good laugh and said, "no, it doesn't work that way." So...hopefully he doesn't learn to walk like my sister did, by holding on to the cat's tail. I'm pretty sure Cobb wouldn't allow that to happen (not that the car in that story was all that happy about it either from what I hear!).

I hope everyone's Sunday is off to a fantastic start. Kitties, think blue and green today! They are pretty colors and Cobb needs some company. He used to hang out with Ole and misses him terribly, so it might be easy for him to get lost if you all aren't around.

WTG, Cobb!!!! I'm hoping that he gives you a very lovely surf today, Suzanne. :-D

I'm so glad to hear that Matty is moving around a bit more. This is great news!

Blackie is in the blues and greens today, also, so she'll give Cobb some company. :-D

Have a great day, and please stay safe!

Re: 3/23 Cobb AMPS 124

Wow Matty is pretty mobile. I remember my daughter didn't walk until their 1st birthdays. My older daughter used to play dress up with Lovey. I didn't know about until I caught the images on her camera. Lovey was not happy.

Nice Amps for Cobb and a nice blue surf last night.

WOO HOO!! Cobb's in BLUE!!

What a great way to start your day Suzanne!

Your "learning to walk" story is funny! You never know...Matt and Cobb may become the best of friends!! I was reading something here yesterday about one of our sugarcats that had GA and that he'd not been impressed AT ALL by the new screaming baby addition to the house, but then they because best buds! I'll have to see if I can find it again..it was so cute! Videos of them together (I want to say it was Michelle and Mannie)

Hope Cobb gives you a blutiful surf....with maybe even a dip into the lagoon today!!

Alas, a blue surf was not in the cards for today. We'll see where he's at later this afternoon. After all the poking yesterday, I'd like to give him a little bit of a break!

Found it Suzanne!

I hope Michelle doesn't mind me sharing her post on Remembering Mannie

Sure hope Matt and Cobb can develop this same type of relationship. It's SO sweet!!

Cobb!! What's with that yellow?? You were supposed to stay put on the blue floor today, not go wandering around!!

OMG! That is adorable!! Matty has to learn to not grab the fur or hit before we can let them that close together! And Cobb needs to be a bit more trusting! He's definitely coming around. When Matty gets really overtired and cries inconsolably, Cobb will jump up next to him to make sure he's okay. That usually distracts Matty enough for me to get him calm. But I have no idea if they'll ever be best friends. It would be great, but I have my doubts. Cobb has been an only "child" for the better part of 11 years. Not sure I'll be able to teach him next tricks/trust.

i guess a bounce was inevitable! but good job trying to cut it off. next time if you're home and able to monitor, i might even give the R sooner.

if matty starts to walk holding onto Cobb's tail . . . i want video! :-D

Would you have given it at +4.25? Or would you have tested again at +5/+6 and seen he was still climbing so give it then to avoid the two nadirs don't cross?

Re: 3/23 Cobb PMPS 328 -Canadian pharmacy question

Ok. Random question about insulin...

Right now I'm paying $210 for a vial of Lantus. Obviously we are going through it fairly quickly so the cost is adding up. I've seen some posts about using Canadian pharmacies...here are my questions:

1. If I get a new RX from the new vet this weekend, can I order from Canada?

2. If yes, will it actually save me money with shipping/exchange rate, etc?

3. Which would be the best pharmacy to order from?

4. Should I just suck it up and keep paying what I'm paying since I can pick up the Lantus at Publix when I go grocery shopping and it's convenient?

Thanks in advance!

Re: 3/23 Cobb PMPS 328 -Canadian pharmacy question

Hi Suzanne,
I used to order from CanadaDrugsOnline, but a new regulation went into effect about 2 years ago that prohibited Canadian online pharmacies from sending medications that need refrigeration across the border. Most of the pharmacies therefore no longer ship insulin. Some do, but it involves shipping the insulin from Turkey. Some people have had success going this route. The entire thread on Canadian online pharmacies is in the Health Forum. It goes back to 2010, but makes interesting reading. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=49608
If you decide to try it, look for a reputable pharmacy. Lots of rogue pharmacies exist that have names very close to reputable pharmacies. Here is a link to Pharmacy Checker, which tells you what to look for and has a list of legitimate pharmacies. https://www.pharmacychecker.com/

Good luck! Have you requested the Lantus coupon yet? It is for the Solostar pens and, I believe you pay $25. Per pen. Check out the Lantus website. Ask about it here on the board. Lots of the people here have gotten this promotion, but I think you have to be careful not to say it is for a cat. Rusty is on Lev., so I can't advise you.

Matty and Cobb will be good buddies, you'll see!

Re: 3/23 Cobb PMPS 328 -Canadian pharmacy question

I have gotten Spot's insulin from Canadadrugsonline every since he started on the Lev. I just got a shipment from them on Saturday, ordered it the Friday before. I get the penfils.
