I think so too. He’s also a little constipated today, which I’ve noticed in the past tends to coincide with higher numbers (not sure which causes which, though. Chicken-egg situation I guess). I’m thinking I’ll just give him the full 3 days to settle so I can get a better idea of what’s going on, instead of increasing tomorrow as @Bandit's Mom suggested on yesterday’s post. What do you all think?
 
As I was giving him his PM shot he meowed and started to pull away (I think I might've got the muscle), but I was able to stop the plunger so I didn't lose any and then I injected the rest elsewhere. Basically I injected half of it in one spot and the other half in another. Is that okay?

Yes, you aren't the first to have done this. I've seen the odd person deliberately do it if their cat gets to much higher doses than what Charlie is on now.

Constipation can lead to higher numbers. Getting over the constipation can take them back down.

Thanks Wendy, whew! Do people do it deliberately with larger doses because they’re worried the skin won’t hold that much and it will leak out? Just curious.

Hopefully adding the pumpkin back in will help with the constipation.
 
There are a few reasons for dosing splitting. We do (thankfully not often) see cats that need over 30 units, so they either need two syringes, or to find 50 unit syringes - that don't have half unit marks. Some people find their cat won't sit still for a larger dose, but will for two smaller ones. And I've heard of 1 or 2 people saying their cat gets more action with two shots vs one. Again, with much larger doses. But in my time here, I can't say I've seen that on a spreadsheet.
