Bleh, just learned that one of my family cats from growing up is likely to cross the rainbow bridge tomorrow. It is never easy. Here he is from many Christmas's ago enjoying the fire:

As for Bell, these cycles are really weird. Still seems to be nadiring around shot time. Tonight is 10 cycles, but I'm not really comfortable increasing yet, so I'm going to hold for a bit. She could still be influenced by the lows 6 cycles ago. Please let me know if anyone thinks I'm being overcautious. I don't have a feel for these cycles yet.

I'm so sorry, Seth. You're right: it's never easy. But it sounds like he lived a good, long life.

Thank you all! It is a weird feeling, not having lived with him for years and years now. But he is a sweetie and will be missed.

He was a Christmas miracle cat. My family got him some time before Christmas. We woke up Christmas morning and couldn’t find him anywhere. We tore apart the house and then started looking outside. Finally put some food outside. A few hours later he came trotting up the driveway. He’d snuck out when my dad took out the trash the night before and spent the night out there. He’s been absolutely spoiled ever since.
