Blue Angel was wobbly when she got up during the night and early in the morning. He BG was a little higher than typcial morning BG. Not sure it's meaningful but I tested 1 hour after shot just out of curiosity and that's the latest I can test before going to work. Because of work and feeding schedule, she isn't exactly on a 12/12 hour cycle.....about a 12.75/11.25 cycle. She still has alot of PU/PD, not sure what to think about it. For others who work 8-5 type of schedule, how do you manage the AM/PM dosing cycle.

She is creeping up, maybe with a leap today.

from arthritis or neuropathy? I see you are giving injectable B12, are you also giving some methyl B12 for FD neuropathy?

You have to do what you have to do as far as shot times, ya know?
I can't seem to get your ss to show up on my puter -- is it in adobe maybe? so don't know what if any checks you are getting inbetween.
so no comment on that.. Hopefully someone else can access and take a good look see for you.

random thought -- how old is blue angel? when was last blood work? wondering how her kidney function is and how that might play into the pd/pu .

Last labs were Feb 10. Creatinine is high normal. She is 17. Excel 07 is spread sheet. Believe it's time to give methylB12 a try!

A couple of housekeeping issues:

We open one condo (thread) per cat per day. You should open a separate condo for 3/24.

Not everyone here has Excel. They will not be able to view your SS. I believe you mentioned that you have trouble with the colors on the Google SS. You can change the color scheme to suit your needs. Most people here use the color coding on the Google SS or something in the same color family making it much easier to simply look at colors vs. numbers in order to see trends. I think we will be able to help you best if you're able to use the Google SS.

The descriptors you are using for BG ranges on your SS are not entirely accurate. A number below 40 is not indicative of a clinical hypo. Likewise, numbers above 360 do not necessarily mean ketones nor do numbers above 500 imply DKA. In the latter cases, other factors besides BG contribute.

A non-housekeeping issue: I would be very helpful is you could get mid-cycle spot checks. Lantus dosing is based on the low point (nadir) of the cycle, not pre-shot numbers. We get pre-shot BG numbers in order to insure that it's safe to shoot. In order to determine if a dose needs to be changed, you will need to test during the AM and PM cycles.
