The 48 last night warrants a dose reduction. You should reduce Mr. Grey's dose to 9.25u. According to the protocol:

Reducing the dose:

• If kitty drops below 40 (long term diabetic) or 50 (newly diagnosed diabetic) reduce the dose by 0.25 unit. If kitty has a history of not holding reductions well or if reductions are close together... sneak the dose down by shaving the dose rather than reducing by a full quarter unit. Alternatively, at each newly reduced dose... try to make sure kitty maintains numbers in the normal range for seven days before reducing the dose further.

Hi Rick,

You earned the reduction last night to 9.25u. Stick with that and monitor closely. Mr. Grey will let you know when and if he is ready for another reduction. Hope you got some sleep last night!

Make sure you get a +2 tonight so see how he does. If he is lower at +2 than he was at PMPS, it might be another active cycle.
