Good morning all. DH here. Marjorie is trying to get to work and she let me sleep in this morning so I'm trying condo building for her again. Hope everyone is doing well.

WCR: 4 P's in place this morning. She usually waits for her turn with the newspaper before she does the fifth P. She was still asleep in the same place she was when I finished with her at +5 last night. Marjorie said she seemed sleepy at first. Then when the catnip mice came out she got her groove on. She was pretty flat yellow last night so I'm expecting a welcome home extravaganza from her today. Its almost time for +2 test so I'll be right back.

DH here - and down she goes. About 65 an hour so not steamroller mode yet. I'll wait for +3 to see if she is going to need extra carbs.

Celi - She reads the Style section of course. And she always checks to see what Charlie "the lunatic" Sheen is up to, and to see if Lindsey Lohan knocked over a 7/11 or anything. I'm trying to get her interested in world events, but since she doesn't have opposable thumbs or a drivers license she doesn't care about oil prices. She was born in Canada but is a naturalized American girl now, so world events/shmerld events. :lol:

DH here - 70 at +3. Slowing down a little. I fed her the regular +3 food (hope that wasn't a mistake) and will recheck in 30.

DH here - Well, she seems to have settled herself into a surf, I think, Paws crossed. She has only had her regular low carb meals on the regular schedule. So, awesome, as long as she doesn't pop back up into blues by +5 like she did yesterday. So center yourself on the board and curl your toes little one.

DH here - 107 at +5. Still a good number, but a 40 point rise in an hour. She has had a couple of cycles like this in the last few days. In green early and then up into blue around +5. She usually stays in green all day if she gets there. Could be something to do with the dose, or it could be that her eyes are still bothering her even though they look better. I'm trying not to look too short range at it, but something is different. Thoughts, anyone?

Mike you are an awesome condo builder. What fun today... sorry I missed most of it. welcome back, and I am glad to see that Gracie welcomed you home properly and didn't enter the diving arena like before... :-D

I dunno on the rise at +5 - but I find Mannie is doing the same thing when feedings are not manipulated. It just looks like a normal lantus cycle, with a nadir between +4, +5 ??I wonder if her cycle is changing? It will be interesting to see how the rest of her cycle goes. Maybe it was just a blip on the radar...

What a day little Gracie gave you!!! Beautiful! She may be having an earlier nadir than she did--It Happened to Moonie, but whatever she is doing great--Hey Cabanabean, my DH watched me shoot Moonie last night,!!

Thanks to all for visiting today and for the levity in our condo!! Love the diving kitty photo, Celi!!!

So Gracie went to the NRT (Nutrition Response Testing) vetty today. She is the one who identified that aluminum toxicity was causing Gracie's interstitial cystitis and detoxed her. I showed her Gracie's SS and we discussed the bouncing, etc. She found a weak link between Gracie's liver and pancreas and that it was caused by tin. So Gracie is now being detoxed of tin. Dr. B said that she doesn't know if it will keep Gracie from bouncing and while she doesn't think we will initially see a healing crisis of higher BG numbers, she thinks detoxing her will definitely benefit her system overall. I like this vet because she doesn't try to blow sunshine up my skirt if she doesn't know the answer. But plain and simple, it will benefit her because it will rid her system of tin. Will it help her with her BG numbers....impossible to know.
Gracie was such a sweet baby there and Tobey......well, he always gets tons of attention because he's Mr. Social with everyone :lol: :lol:

pssstttt.... Gracie, there's nothing to bounce from here, just stay flat. Try it, surfing is fun and it will mess with your beans' heads because they're not expecting it. ;-)

I have to ask... how do you detox the tin? You can't use magnets since tin isn't magnetic.... :lol:

Michelle: I KNOW....great cycle!! She knew how tired her daddybean was but that she needed to get into some nice numbers!

LIBBY!!! Looks like you told her!! I can't believe she is 146 after a vetty visit. Now she just needs to have another flat cycle tonight, and tomorrow, and on and on and on because beans ARE expecting NO MORE BOUNCES!! :lol: Mike said we've been expecting no bounces for six months...she just hasn't done it but we are thinking positively.

Carolyn: There are supplements to give to detox. The one she is going to take is called HVS Metals and it gets the metals out of their systems. I don't know the mechanics of it but when she had high levels of aluminum, that's what the vet did and it took about six months to totally get all the Al out. But you know what....before the detox, she was having interstitial cystitis episodes 2-3 times a month and since she started, she hasn't had one....not in 10 months...(KNOCK ON WOOD, anti jinx.

Ah, good to know about the supplements. I had heard that aluminum is not so good, but didn't know about tin.
I sure hope you see some great results soon. It makes sense if she's sensitive to metals.
