Maverick is now deciding he doesn't want turkey and giblet and only wants ocean whitefish and tuna. Great. This has resulted in a vocal discussion with Chatty Kathy last night, and a lot of pawing and nosing. Maybe I'll give it to him for a week, so that he'll appreciate the T&G once again.

Thank you to all who stopped in yesterday, sorry I didn't get to visit much after the morning. I'm feeling better this morning but my stomach woke me up early. Never had an upset stomach like this before. No other symptoms but yuckiness in my stomach. Its not as bad this morning so hopefully what ever it is will go away. This is going to be a crazy week with work.

CD you made my morning with Mocha's OTJ video. Maverick made a cameo appearance LMAO. My stomach felt the laughing  ohmygod_smile

I hope your stomach starts feeling better because you don't need to be feeling sick on top of a busy week. Cats sure funny with their food preferences. Just when you think they like something, they change their minds and want something else.

Hope your stomach feels better (hands you crackers and rubs your tummy counter clock wise).

Maverick is looking good this morning. Now Maverick, you can't have fish all the time, it's not good for you, turkey is yummy so please eat that again.

Good morning guys ... nice start to the day maverick, but you can't always eat fish so make sure you get back to your turkey before to long ok? I hope you are feeling better Karrie, I had a horrible stomach bug late last week .. it was awful, but fast moving ... hope you guys have a great day!

Looks like this is the week for stomach-related issue at your place, huh? I hope you feel better, Karrie. And please, Maverick, stop being so difficult! Turkey is gooood!

Hi Karrie, Maggie is a fishy food lover, but I'm trying my best to get her back on chicken! I hope your stomach is better today and you and Maverick have a nice day.

Hi Karrie, Have you tried chicken soup? (for you, not Mav).
How many other types of food have you tried for your picky eater? Merrick's Cowboy Cookout is a favorite of many kitties here and it is supposed to be very good for them (it's at the top of Dr. Lisa's recommendations). It's beef with a few veggies, 5% carbs. When I tried it with Rusty he gobbled it up, but then got sick. I didn't know if it was a beef allergy or simply eating too fast, but haven't tried it again. Michelle's Mannie loves Merrick's Surf 'n Turf (and the fish part is balanced by the meat part, so might be OK if you're concerned about feeding Mav. too much fish).

Good luck and hope you're feeling better and better as the day goes on,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Karrie, hope today your stomach gets settled down. There are a lot of bugs going around now. It seems a lot of our kitties are have stomach issues, too.
I agree with Ella, my girl loves Cowboy Cookout and Surf & Turf, and Merrick's is supposed to be very good. I read another vet's new book that highly recommends Merrick's too. Tessie Lou decided to boycott her automatic feeder the past two days and wouldn't touch the food in it. But, when I took it out of there and put it on her pretty white saucer, and heated it just a tad, she gobbled it up.   Cats are nuts.

I'll check in on you later. I just have to go back to Mocha's condo for another viewing of CD's wonderful video! What a hoot!

Take care.

Thanks guys. I'm sure what ever it is will go away soon. Haven't tried chicken soup - I'm a vegetarian. I think I will go on a bland diet though and see if it helps mellow it out. Its not acting like a bug though - no urping or anything else. Ugh.

I do have liver and chicken to try for him. I wish he'd eat a non organ based food though. We have very little selection up here for Fancy Feast compared to you guys. And he will not touch higher end foods. I'll try the cowboy cookout but I'm sure that would cause BG spikes. I'll buy some for him though. I'll double check the ingredients.

Hi Karrie! I hope this finds you feeling better. paws crossed.

Very nice amps for Maverick. :-D No doubt greens are on the horizon. SWEET!

Maverick: eat your fuds! well i guess he is, just being picky.... Mannie does love the Merrick line: Surf and Turf (3%) and Cowboy Cookout (5%). The bowl is always liked clean, and then some, when I serve those. They also have another one: Southern Delight (4%), which is a combination of chicken and fish. They seem to be balanced well enough with the fish, if that is a concern. anyways... he loves the food.

Have a good one today!

Fish concerns me because I read it can increase inflammation in cats with issues - he has arthritis, and asthma. So I wanted to limit his fish. But I want him to get a balance too. So after three or so straight months of turkey and giblet I gave him a can of fish ohmygod_smile I will try the balanced ones and see if he will eat them. I have like ten cans of wellness to trade in for my dog.

I hope you feel better soon. Do you do the BRAT diet for upset tummies?
Bread, Rice, Applesauce, Toast.

Glad that the dancing saxophone player, Maverick, made you giggle. He's a cutie with that smiling face of his! You don't see many kitties with such a clear smile, I loved it!

Just got my relion micro control solution. They shipped it to Canada. YIPPEEEE. They sent a teeny tiny dropper bottle in a massive box! Crazy.

That's what I was looking for CD - the BRAT diet. I was going to look it up. I'm going to try that until this goes away. Thank you.

Yes we were both grinning today... me more than him

Oh, don't we just love eating issues. Checks also loves the fish foods. When he eats beef or poultry, I have to sprinkle with chicken dust, or fortiflora.

I hope your tummy gets better soon. It's a miserable feeling.

they beat me to posting about the BRAT diet...

you should've heard the reaction when i told the Unamommer to try it

beautiful amps, Mav!
