Morning, and Maggie's a little high, I believe, from a bit of food spike plus she had a small can of Merrick Surf 'n' turf (not all at once), and carb sensitive Maggie loves this food but it does cause a food spike. All P's in place. I think I can leave her for a few hours this morning knowing she will be safe with these numbers, paws crossed. I have PT appointment and need to get her some more food. I had zero sleep last night - been up since 12:30 am!! ~O) ~O) will be my friend all morning! We had a lot of rain last night and expect showers today!

Hi Nicole, I shoot at 4:30 am and 4:30 pm. I tested early as she was begging for food and I hated for her to wait! She knows I'm a pushover! :smile:

Hi Christie, yes, it's the only time to feel relieved with a high number when you know you have an appointment.

Maggie wanted you to be able to go and relax, no worrying about her today. Maverick is on a fish food only strike. I'm giving in.

Man you get up early. I get up at 4:30 to give my dog her medicine and refill Maverick's food, but then go right back to bed.

Hi, I am not sure why the spike with Maggie. I tested against my good ole faithful Relion meter, which tested at 145. I tested a couple times this afternoon but didn't post them, as they were so high I thought maybe I didn't have a large enough drop with the ATrak. I just bought some new Lancets, 30 gauge, and I think they must be too too thin as I have to keep poking to get a large enough drop. I'm thinking maybe it's the FF Seafood Feast Classic that isn't always good for her, so I mixed in some Wellness chicken, and she has eaten it. Or possibly a UTI, although she's not showing any symptoms. The one day she seemed to drink more water than usual, but today it looks as though she hasn't touched it. She had some Merrick Surf 'n' Turf the one night she was dropping, but that should be out of her system by now. I don't know; we'll see what tomorrow brings :-|

Awww... I hope you get some great sleep tonight and that Maggie's numbers come down with your various food choices
 
Thanks Karrie. Much better number at 152! Maybe I did a couple fur shots!

Thank you sarah. I hope, too, for more sleep and for Maggie's numbers to come down. So far, so good on the Wellness chicken!
