3-21 LEO AMPS 190/ +2 122/ +5 105/ PMPS 111/ +2 84/ +3 641 +4.5 68

I've found that Bandit also flinches sometimes when I give her the shot. I don't know why sometimes it's more painful and other times she hardly feels it.

Where do you shoot the insulin? I used to do the stomach or flank. How much should Leo weigh?

Same areas you mention.
I have no idea how much he should weigh.
He was 11.4# when he was five years old;
July 2020, 12#. While not documented anywhere, I could have sworn he was 14# at some point, but don't find this documented.

Exactly! I know I have less than three months experience giving SQ to Leo; but have experience with SQ & IM for me personally.
Guess giving your little kitty any kind of poke is difficult.

Leo is feeling so much better... his fur is wonderful again... he zoomed up and down the stairs today. Purrs. ♡♡♡

LOL. I was just watching a YouTube (Texas News Studio) when the speaker's cat appeared. A few minutes later as he's ending the video, he says, "I have to go take care of a cat," and that he'll be back later.

Are you moving his shot and subQ locations? Scar tissue can form if you poke in the same area and that can also cause pain.

Isn't it wonderful to see them go back to their pre-diabetes selves!

When the boss calls, you have to answer! LOL.

Yes, I do. I think in attempts to avoid a FS is the main reason I'm so INSANE about it. I know in the beginning there was more than one FS. I just want to avoid that.

Love this chart! For me to get a true idea might require getting him wet
Eeek! He would hate me for that. He hasn't a bath since before we got him.
No. Just stand above him and see if you see a waist. Then gently feel his tummy and see if you slightly feel the ribs. If they stick out or you feel them easily he’s too skinny.

If you aren't doing so already, try and keep the bevel edge upward facing you as you inject vs. facing inward into the skin. If the bevel edge is down, it creates more drag on the skin and doesn't go in as smoothly.

You're right!!
I cannot see it on a 31G! Yikes.

Tonight's shot went real smooth. Thankfully.
Crazy late afternoon/evening with the tornado watch and sirens going off. Extra thankful the tornado stayed away, but looks like there's damage elsewhere.

I used +1 cheaters this morning to see and I think I entered the correct way... no reaction (and no medicine smell), so this was a success. Thanks for reminding me and glad I had the glasses!
