I see all green yesterday, so I'm confused about the above statement.
I thought the instructions were "if Mikey is green at your normal test times, no need to test further until the next "PS" time, just feed small meals and go about your day. If he is blue, feed a small meal and test again after about 3 hours. If his number is lower 3-4 hours after a meal, then his pancreas is working!"
Maybe, I'm just not up to date on all that's happened.

I'm also wondering why you want to get more tests in today. I can see why you got those extras on the day you took him out, but I think you can go back to the standard twice a day now, as long as he's staying green. You only need to test again if you're seeing blue at the AM or PM test times, and then just to see what his body does with the food. We were only on Lantus for two months, so I'm not an expert, but that's how we were advised to do it.

I believe you are right Dyana. I'm getting a few things mixed up. I was doing the 2 tests (am/pm) a few days before OTJ trial so I got myself confused with thinking I needed to test him more. However, he was a "high" AMBG this morning so I did end up testing him today.

GORGEOUS NUMBERS!!!

(I had trouble just testing at what used to be am & pm shot times when we first started our trial, but Binks knew he was done...
and looks like Mikey has made the same choice!!)

i just tested at his shot time, and the two times he threw a blue number, i fed him and tested 3 hours later...
and his lil pancreas invariably had him back in the greens by then. :-D
