Busy day at work - don't they know I have a cat to report on :). Came home to an almost blue at +10 so I'm pretty sure she was is good shape today....hoping she'll continue to settle in and her AMPS will come down just a bit.

Judging from the talk about the office - shoes are more important, lol.....not that I don't like shoes - but the cute ones almost always hurt my feet, sigh.

Well, I'm trying not to want too much too quickly...but boy are things back to normal with their majesties - power struggles have interrupted the kingdom's peace and I find myself having to uncorner one or the other of them every couple of hours, sigh....

Well, I'm trying not to want too much too quickly...but boy are things back to normal with their majesties - power struggles have interrupted the kingdom's peace and I find myself having to uncorner one or the other of them every couple of hours, sigh....

ROFLMAO...welcome to my world... ohmygod_smile I just take it as a sure sign of spring because they are coming out of hybernation mode and are ready to be allowed back onto the enclosed porch and have to windows open so they can swear at the birds, squirrels and insolent rabbits that dare to enter their yard. :lol:

Yep - I've got the enclosed porch as well....but even in the winter they want to sit out there and propping the kitchen door open is cold...... Ironically my kitchen and guest bedroom windows have a better view of out back...but they won't do - it must be the side porch. I'm not sure what they like to watch - I've seen them completely ignore deer not more than thirty feet from them....nor does it seem they care much about the bird feeders....they just keep staring at the neighbors windows.......

That does bring up a funny story....there's a single gentleman in his mid 60s next door - he has a long term girlfriend who visits frequently. One summer afternoon not long after I moved in, I learned that his bedroom window is pretty close to my deck and that his gf is a screamer :). Fortunately they must have realized I spend a lot of time out on my deck cause now they keep that window shut......

Totally unrelated....are all lancets supposed to be the same length? I ask because I got a different brand (had the Relion) and noticed that I'd poked right through Jez's ear....I don't freehand, I prefer the device and I use the alternate site (clear) cap so I can see what I'm doing (so there's no depth adjustment). She's fine of course but I'm wondering if its a random thing or if maybe I should go back to the other lancets.

Switched meters tonight and I kept waiting for the beep like my Confirm....I miss the sound, but I don't miss the strips being twice as much.

I use the device as well and sometimes I poke all the way through as well but it seems a random thing, so I think I must every now and then get one that is longer than the others.

OK - that somehow struck me as funny...but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one overshooting on occasion....

Thanks - and now I think I am off to bed.....even though I work at a desk - I'm exhausted - I think they wore my brain out today.
