Well Frank had a 2 day break from the high bounce to red. Now here we are back to red again.

I feel so frustrated.

I really feel that I would like to try a fat 2U. Not totally sure what this is...but probably a drop more than 2U, not 2.25U. Probably the plunger is still touching the 2U line but under it, thus 1 extra drop is in there. I saw some syringe photos here somewhere that would help me....just have to find them.

Am I totally off the wall to try this or would this be an acceptable dose increase at this time??

Maybe I just have to wait..it's driving me nutz though! Frank sleeps a lot but he purrs, poops on his own schedule,pees fine, grooms himself fine, and will play if I drag the string in front of him. He really doesn't seem to drink excessively. I need to check his ketones.

To be honest, I'm having some difficulty sorting out Frank's numbers. I'm hoping some of the others will be by before you PM shot. I think there may be a fair amount of bouncing going on. However, it's hard to tell if this is the case since it looks like Frank's numbers may be dipping down later in the evening cycle than when you are testing. What you then see is the bounce in the AM. But, I'd like to make sure you get more input before any changes to the dose are made.

I also have noticed that many of his reds are in the AM. I am pretty clueless to determine what it all means....

I do think Frank is going lower at night after you stop testing. He keeps dropping after +3 during the day, so it makes sense that he would at night too (and most of our cats see more "action" at night). For example, on 3/17 when he dropped to 123 at +3, I would almost guarantee that he was green that night and bounced to high pink by morning. It seems likely that he was lower yesterday than the 136 you caught. I think he is bouncing off the blue and not necessarily getting low green. That is sort of a guess at this point.

I think you have room for a dose increase, but with that I would like to see more testing when you are home, and that will include some evenings. Frank had some pretty low numbers last time he was on 2.25, so it is possible that it will only take a few cycles at that dose to give him another breakthrough and start getting good green again.
