3/2 Yoyo AMPS 100,

Have a great day Debra!! If Yoyo sees Leo in the lagoon, ask him to sit on him so he stays there, please!! :p:joyful::D

Deb asked a question about dosing in a PM and I'm replying here.

Given that Yoyo is a longer term diabetic, you'd only reduce if numbers were below 40. It's quite annoying if the number = 40. A lot would depend on whether Yoyo's tummy troubles resolve. I might be a bit apprehensive about insulin if my kitty were having problems with vomiting and diarrhea. I might also consider a vet appointment in case this is a GI bug. As for the dose, as long as Yoyo is eating, you might want to drop it to 1.5u or maybe a little lower.

From your SS, it looked like you gave Yoyo SEB. If the diarrhea keeps up, I'm a big fan of S. boulardii. It's a probiotic and does wonders at clearing up diarrhea.

Thank you Sienne....this was Yoyo's 3rd drop below 50. Starting on 2/16 he went below 50, on 2/24 he went below 50 and today he went below 50, that is why I was asking if I should reduce him or if this is too long a time span to consider in the 3xbelow 50?
Yoyo's new food is making him have diarrhea....too much oil in the ingredients. I am trying to compensate by mixing with other canned foods more agreeable.

I hope you can figure that boy out! Sorry about the poopies...yuk... I hope that settles down too.

Try to not worry about the news...it's good to get another point of view sometimes - for instance why don't they report how many people have contracted the flu or caught a cold? How many died on this or that day from the flu? The death toll every winter is quite high for the flu - but since the new coronavirus (which by the way, is a cold virus)...has hit, it's all they want to talk about...I guess it's not news worth to report about the regular flu...not sensational enough, ya know?

Have a good evening :)

Leo is doing a fantastic job in the lagoon. Leo needs to grab onto Yoyo's paw and tail to get Yoyo to stay green:D
Yo had a rocky day, vomiting and diarrhea which brought his BG levels down. I do believe the food is upsetting him. I have been mixing his foods to prevent this but somehow he still got sicky today. Thank goodness he still has an appetite, I am so happy that he wanted to eat.
Hope Leo is doing well and you too!
Enjoy your evening:bighug:
