Minner continues being Minner. Her insulin action has been peculiar these last few weeks. I use food to manage the action (or lack of action). Some cycles I don’t feed her at all until +3 range b/c the action is poor. Other times I’m feeding her post shot and every hour for 5-6 hours.
I think she has developed fatty buildup in her injection site areas that may be causing absorption variability. This is troublesome b/c these areas are convenient and routine for her. But I have to figure out where else I can inject for a while to see if these fatty areas subside. They are fleshy (not hard) and are not painful to her. They have been developing for a while but I thought I was just feeling the contour change of her fur being shaved in these areas. No, I’m sure now it’s fat buildup, more so on right side. I’ll take her in to see her doctor about it next weekend.
Has anyone else experienced this? I thought I was rotating fairly well as its about a 4 inch wide area where I inject to the right and left of her spine below shoulders. I tried the scruff yesterday and she flinched so getting her to accept injections in a new place w/o reacting to her skin being touched is a dilemma.
