Yesterday's Recap:
03/01/11
185 2.00
178 2.00
58 +3 karo with a 1/8 cup evo kibble

Yesterday's blues turned to greens last night. While Attie wasn't in any real concerning numbers for him, I had already taken my bedtime meds! ohmygod_smile . At the 58 he and MudCat were having a wonderful game of chase and mice stalking. So I am guilty of kibbling last night, not Attie. But we must do what we must some days/nights to keep everybody safe and healthy.

This morning we're not too bad at all, but I just caught Attie at MudCat's feeding station! I moved on piece of furniture this morning and I think it was just enough to make a difference. The kibble bowl wasn't totally empty. MudCat only gets a quarter cup at time anyway, she had eaten about half...so I think Attie only got a few bites.

It is funny though...I've never yelled at him when I catch him. I just simply walk over and put him down on the floor and remove the bowl. This morning I looked over from the computer and said out loud, "Oh Attie, no." And he knew. The head comes up, looks around, and I get halfway to the bureau and down he jumps. Don't tell me these guys don't know what's up and what they can have or not.

Morning to you and Atlas, Yes, I agree, we do what we need to do in order to keep them safe. I can just picture the above scene in my mind, as similar events have happened with me. I think these rascals understand perfectly well what we're saying and sometimes thinking. Have a nice day.

Close encounters of the purred kind:

Air traffic controllers in Siberia claim they were buzzed by a high-speed UFO with a female sounding alien who spoke in an unintelligible cat-like language. The mystery object suddenly burst onto flight monitors over the remote Russian diamond capital of Yakutsk. It was shown flying at a speed of slightly over 6000 mph, and rapidly changing direction in the early morning sky, it is claimed.

Where were our Lantus-Land Party Cats last night?

Oh they know when they're being naughty. I think they like testing us

Hope Atlas comes down nice and easy for you and no more crazy dives when you're ready for bed.

Another long day...one dog is being difficult....3 weeks in and he still hasn't figured out I'm his ticket to a walkie and treats. Sheesh...patience. You all know my level of skill for PATIENCE....

Attie appears to have done OK today. Looks like we'll be low again tonight...I'll try to not be in such a rush to get to sleep...

Worked with Gary some more this evening. I got inadvertantly swatted and he caught me right on the edge of my thumbnail. I jumped and shouted ow! He recoiled, but didn't run away. I cajoled him and told him ...not his fault...(he was pawing at a treat). I wasn't producing them fast enough from the bag for his tastes. Course with him be "wild" his claws are like fine razors.

First aid of a Hydrogen Peroxide soak since it was a puncture wound, dressed with the borrowed kitty neosporin...no band-aid on a puncture wound. It needs to weep and breathe to avoid an infection from anaerobic bacteria. We'll soak again just before bedtime.
