We have our fuds spike today...I do wonder why sometimes she spikes, sometimes she doesn't. I know there's no point in wondering that because she's a cat and this is FD, but I still do wonder....Anyway, at least it's the low(er) yellows. We had some very nice blues yesterday, and they almost made me consider not going for the dosecrease this morning, but I thought better of that...I know Trix, and while touching those numbers is hopefully a sign of progress, I knew she's bounce right back to the yellow floor. She wasn't solidly enough in the grotto just yet. So, today, I took her up to 3.00U. We always love when a dose falls on a line!

Who says you can't train kitties? Trix's post-fluids treat is also her bedtime snack...a small plop (as we call it here) of Paw Lickin' Chicken. As we all know, she LUVS that stuff. So, as soon as we are done with fluids, she heads straight down the stairs and stares at the laundry room door (I prep her fuds in the laundry room) :lol: ! She gets there well before I do. Seriously, how cute is she?? I just love kitties.

I'm sending you tons of Great Dosecrease #s Vines (I know... makes sense, right? :lol:) to you for Miss Trixie to have great #s with this next new dose. (Ok, I seriously think I'm not making any sense this morning... :lol:).

There's a problem between hoomans, and kitties... We have only 2 legs, which yes they ARE longer. However, kitties have 4, and they're shorter, and much quicker, too. Could that be a low center of gravity for them making them much quicker than us? :lol: Yes, we definitely love kitties!!! I hope you have a great day guys! :-D

Good luck with the dosecrease! I wonder about the fuds spike as well. I love even line doses. Of course they never seem to stay there long.

Good luck with the new dose. perhaps this will be "the one". I too LOVED it when the dose fell on the line. I love the story of her post fluids treat. How cute! She does love her PLC!

Our kitties are so smart!! Look how quickly they have us trained :lol: :lol:
I wish that Cleo liked the PLC, but she doesn't like shreds. I used to chop them up with a pizza cutter, but most of it was wasted as they civvies didn't like it much either.
Just too adorable how Trixie beats you to the treat door :-D

I'm glad she kept it flat, rather than continuing to climb after that spike. These days, it's always a surprise!

Nope, no s****....today. There are rumors about next Monday and/or Tuesday, though ohmygod_smile :roll: :roll: :roll: ohmygod_smile .....can you believe it???? It is never-ending.

Blech....so she did spend the day climbing after all. I'll tell myself it's a bit of NDW....she did the same thing when I increased her last time....

I don't know if someone already mentioned or you are probably already aware, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.
In case it slipped off your mind with everything else going on, Weruva PL has only about half the calories Wellness Turkey has per 5.5oz can.
(Weruva PL 5.5oz = 103 kcal, Wellness Turkey 5.5oz = 218 kcal).
So if Trixie was eating 1 can of Wellness per day before, she may need to eat 2 cans of PL?

I didn't realized that about the PLC...as I posted in Lucy's condo....Trix IS a bit "fluffy", and vetty did suggest she de-fluff a wee bit. So, the PLC will be great for that, 'cause she can have a happy full belly and maybe trim down just a hair at the same time.

I gotta pay more attention to labels with that regard ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ...I'm always so focused on carbs and phos that I forget there are other aspects to fuds, too :roll: !!!

That's the wrong direction, Trixie. Turn around, please.

Don't you wish cats understood - and went along with - ultimatums? "Okay, Trix, if you keep your bg in normal range, I'll give you PLC." It would be so much easier.

I hope the dosecrease works well. If it doesn't, try the ultimatum...... :-D

Blech, blech, blech...we have chosen flat pink for this evening's color.

Off to do fluids, call it a night, and hope we see something from one of the lower floors tomorrow morning....

Trixie, pink is not a good color for jammies. You would sleep much better in blue or even yellow. Maybe the subqs will bring her down, Amy. Paws crossed she comes down to a nice, safe number.

I've been so intrigued by Trixie's love for PLC that I hunted some down today. I'm going to try it on my brood tomorrow and see if they love it, too. It's so hard to find fuds that meet everyone's requirements and that all four of them actually like! Hoping that they share Trixie's tastes! :-D
