Oh wow! She just kept falling all night long. I decided to stall just to err on the side of caution, I don't want her dropping low when I'm at work even if my grandpa should be home to watch her. I'm still impressed by the difference, I hope this keeps up and I hope the dental helps a lot for her too.

So they taught me how to give Tip the sub-Q fluids at the vet, I think I've got that down, but they didn't replace the needle for today's use. And I really don't know how to remove the needle. I managed to jab myself with the used needle in a finger joint and...let's just say it hurt REALLY bad. So how do I remove it? My grandpa did it tonight, but I think it'd be good for me to know.

Hi Cindy, I'm glad to see Tip is feeling better and getting some nice greens.

Did you ever see Marje's video on giving fluids?

No, I haven't. Just finished watching it though. Tip's already gotten her fluids, we did the exact technique in the video though. :) So that's good. I now understand how to remove the needle. Hopefully I manage to do that part on my own tomorrow night. Tip took 'em super well.

I imagine she's going in to a bounce right now since she's not used to greens anymore.

Good to hear that Tip does well during the subq. If Tip bounces tonight, maybe you can get that sleep that everyone seem to be recommending for you. :-D

Hi, Cindy, I just read about you poking yourself during sub-qs ~ I just did the same thing tonight for the first time! I've been giving fluids to my kitty for about a month now, and I guess I wasn't paying attention. I feel your pain! It's still hurting!

I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. You are a wonderful mama for Tip.

PS Isn't that a wonderful video? I think I watched it 3 or 4 times before I was able to administer the fluids comfortably. I'm officially a Gus fan :-D .
 
It still hurts, but it's thankfully MUCH better than earlier.

Looking like I'll be able to get plenty of sleep for once. Excited about that.

It really is. :) I'm glad my vet gave me the same technique, but it was nice to see that the vet was right rather than just assuming she was.
