We visited the vet today about Merlin's weight loss. She has no idea why he isn't eating as much as he used to. Other than his diabetes, he is healthy by the lab numbers and today's exam. She thought a possibility was his latest BG issue may have changed his tastes for food. When I have used FF gravy to intervene excessively low BG numbers, he will tear into it like it's kitty crack. She said if a cat isn't eating for a medical reason, they usually have issues with all foods. So she suggested I try some other foods. One suggested food was Fresh Pet Vital cat food. The ingredients seem to be diabetic cat friendly and local experience with it was it didn't raise BG levels any more than other canned LC foods. I will bought some and will let everyone know how it works out. We have 4 other cats that can eat it if it doesn't work out for Merlin.

Otherwise a green day for Merlin. The first 80s value is probably due to the stress of seeing the vet. It's a long drive and he hates it there. The second 80s might be a food spike. He passed on all food for a while after the vet experience until +8 when he actually ate a good amount of food. The first time he ate that much in a single feeding for weeks.

Good luck with the new food. Sometimes they just seem to like a little variety. Lots of greenage today. :D
