Marshmallow Week SIX! (getting so big!)
I think momma is the star of this video, tho. What a character.

Beautiful kitten Marshmallow at 6 weeks, with her mother Mochi.

Mochi has always loved to sit like humans since she was a wee-little kitten. When Mochi became pregnant, she had difficulty assuming this position because of her growing belly, so she had stopped sitting like that for a while. Soon after giving birth, Mochi was happily resuming her favorite sitting position, often times even preferring baby Marshy to nurse in that position. A beautifully comical scene to witness.

Now an update on Marshmallow. At 6 weeks old, Marshy continues to provide countless hours of joy to us with her increasingly active and playful kitten behavior. She quickly picked up how to use the litterbox on her own, and has begun to wean onto solid kitten food. Marshmallow has grown to more than 10 times her birthweight during this week, and is such a sweetheart to MaMa Mochi and her humans.

I go from 0-10hrs of work to 64 hours next week! Picked up a temp job, then my long standing part time job scheduled me for excessive hours during our semi-annual outdoor expo. :YMSIGH: I'm waiting to hear back on a job interview, which I would add to my 64 hr week. On top of that I think I am getting sick.

Of course the one I feel most sorry for is poor Miss Tippie not getting any love or play for 12+hrs at a time.

When it rains, it pours!

Speaking of weather, Snow expected here tonight. I hope to sleep through it. I-)

My aunt sent me a little gift this week to 'pamper myself' with. I decided to use the gift for flowers/plants, and redo Latte's memorial garden. I think I will try to make a small raised flower bed, like I did for her grass in the old place. I think the flowers I planted last year were perfect. I may look for the same ones. This really cheered me up. With no extra income due to no job, I was bummed that I could not get plants this year. I can't wait for stable weather and a trip to the farmers market.

Hope everyone has had a great week!

For those unfamiliar with Latte's 'bed of grass':

She was so grateful for this and spent as much time in it as she could.

The first spring after she was gone I did not want to put grass in it because I knew it would make me sad. I carefully chose flowers instead. Unfortunately about a month after I planted the memorial garden, I moved (it was a good thing though). I transferred what I could into pots and they lasted most of the summer.

Hey Carolyn,
I hope you can get through those massive work weeks. Don't get sick! Think positively!! And good luck with the job interview. Is this a full-time job that you are interviewing for? Tippie will be OK and will be thrilled to see you walk in the door.

It's great that your aunt gave you the means to renovate Latte's garden. I know how much that means to you and how lovely it will be to see those beautiful plants and flowers and know that your Latte is close by, enjoying them too.

What to say about Mama and Marshmellow!!!!! Wow! That is one great mamacat (in all senses of the word)!

Best of luck with the jobs. Thinking of you. Thanks for your visits to Rusty's condo.
Scritches to Tippie,

So cute when they got into the car together.

Good luck with the job interview. As far as the long work week, just keep thinking that there is a day off coming. You will get through. Rest all you can, and eat, and take care of you. :YMHUG:

That garden picture was beautiful. I hope you get the chance to shop for flowers and plants soon and make another warm and pretty garden in your new place.

Oh my! That garden is so beautiful! Love all the green! I can almost smell it from here...
Good luck with your interview. Remember still lots of people out there desperate to find a job!

I've been following and sharing Marshmallow because of these Loose Lips...thanks, Carolyn! Mochi and Marshmallow are incredibly endearing.

Latte's garden is gorgeous...very fitting.

Buddha cat.

Beautiful garden, how kind of your aunt to help your plant again this year. Good luck with the jobs and interview. Sending stay well vines for you.

This is the first time I have seen a Marshmallow video. How cute!

I love seeing that photo of Latte in her garden. I hope things calm down for you and you get a chance to enjoy working on her garden this year.

ohmygosh marshmallow's buddha mama is beyond adorable! she looks so calm and serene - and even when she's playing with marshmallow she's gentle. the car section was really sweet too.

carolyn, i love latte's garden. i've always heard about it, and saw one picture a while ago, but it's really sweet. she must've been an extra-special girl. good that you can get some flowers for her this year. :YMHUG:
