Looks like today is dental day for a few of us :smile: She only got .75U this morning and she is at the vet's now. Asked for bup instead of metacam and will ask the vet to call in the Lev RX when he calls to let me know she is all done and toofuses are all purrty :mrgreen:

WCR: could not figure out why no breffis this morning. Sang to me all the way to the vet's then was shaking when we walked in.

Will update as soon as I hear. Happy Friday everyone!

Aww Oreo, you'll do great! No need to shake! Shiny white teefs are a sure fire way to get lots of scratches! Hoping for a quick recovery for oreo today!

I think they are playing us with the starving attitude, but I have not eaten yet, so I don't feel too bad.
I am sure Oreo will be fine and so glad to get home.

I hope all goes well for Oreo; I am on the way over to Shadoe's vets to see how she is doing. And 'ask' for bupe? No, just state that is what you expect to get, no asking. :-D

Oooh I got the same thing when I took Maui two weeks ago. Why no breffis? And why was she put in the carrier.

And what was worse - the other two wanted to know why no breffis and they had to wait!

Oreo will do just fine and she'll have beauty teefies real soon!

Oh, poor thing, I hate that part as much as they do. Everyone will be relieved when it's over and she's home again all prettied up.

Dental is done :mrgreen: Vetty bean said it went very well. Only one extraction. X-ray'd both side and everything else looked good. Gave gas only and some fluids and she is already waking up.

Will send her home with Clinda and Bupe, also calling in the Lev RX.

The weight is off my mind! Now for these last 4 hours to go by so I can go get her...or for the snow to pick up so they close the office :smile:

So glad to hear that Oreo's dental is done and that she'll be home soon! Don't forget about possible nom nom when deciding tonight's dose - we skipped Brownie's last night and even though he didn't drop too low, he was still 160 in the am (with hc gravy), so he might have had some effect...

Glad things went well! Best of luck with small meals.. Nova would have started eating furniture or her brothers (I actually saw her staring at Hitch licking her lips).. if I didn't feed her post surgery.. she was STARVING.

clinda sucks (good for infections, not the most fun thing to give however :) ).. I hate that stuff.. I ended up chasing each dose with catnip to help with the taste and try to make her forget how mean her mommy was. Hopefully Oreo is much tougher and nicer to you :).

yep, it's the liquid again :smile:

Dawn - Michelle (Michelle and Doodle) gave me the best trick for giving liquid Clinda - put it in her food. She gobbles it right up!

Yeah Nova wouldn't fall for any of it.. hope it keeps working for Oreo though because that sure sounds dreamy! :)

Jen! I thought I got all the dental kitties today - better late than never!

Yai Oreo had a good dental! She's home now right? How is she doing? Tummy rubs for Oreo!!
 
She's home!!! :mrgreen: She's still loopy, big pupils and gurgling but verra happy to be home. Gave her a couple spoonfuls of food after this test.

Vetty bean gave me pictures of before and after of her toofuses and a cd with the x-rays. I'll see where her number is before normal shot time to decide on dose :smile:

I hate Denatl Day.... :sad: I just had my two in the other week and I am still reelling from the sadness of missing them and the worry. SO glad Oreo is home with you again...she will recuperate quickly and you can snuggle when she is ready!!
Good Job Jen!!! :mrgreen:
