Zener is feeling fine this morning. He did have a bit of a picnic this morning, in spite of the snow and wind. What a tough guy. He did not venture off the porch, as the snow is about as deep as he is tall. And still coming down. He is now on the heating pad in the front window and here is his view:

He just knows he could get one of those birdies if the window wasn't in the way. Looks like the university made a good call to cancel classes for Monday. We get an extra day of spring break! :-D :-D

Thinking of Rosalie; Katie and her mom; Samson, Lyresa and DH; and others who are ailing. Happy Sunday LL!

Morning! WOW - Mannie and Zener seem to be on the same page of that BG manual... ok you guys - think blues and greens OK? Just no express elevator getting there.

What a gorgeous photo. The snow looks beautiful... sure does look like the university made the right call. Enjoy that extra day off. :-D

Alittle slower please Z-man! But off to a good start. :lol: :lol: I think Zenner made a good decision to enjoy the beauty of the snow formthe window. Stay warm especially if you deide to go out and play!

That +2.5 is looking much better, Z-man!! Hard for me to imagine snow with all the sunshine and gorgeous temps we're having here... I don't envy you for sure! At least you'll get an extra day to hunker down and stay warm! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!

Its' a conspiracy - I swear! Mannie just went to 218, perhaps a bit slower than Zener. Those boys! Hmmmm... what do they ahve up their sleeves. It is nice though to see the 207 for Zener.

Liz is out with the snowblower for her 3rd crack at the driveway and sidewalks. I'm going out soon for kitty path shoveling and bird feeder filling. Over a foot right now and another on the way before tomorrow mid-day. Winds have died down and all power is on! :-D Zener is celebrating the storm in blue!

@Linda - Zener since pulled the cord and landed on his porch. Lots of bird action at the feeder because of the snow. And he knows he can catch one! :cool:

@Tanya - lots of snow but the temperatures are not bad, hovering just below freezing and the wind has calmed for now. Zener has been braving the weather to sit on his porch and bird watch. :twisted:

@Ann & Tess - Zener listens to his LL aunties so well. Both kitties are on the heating pads in full nap mode at the moment. :razz:

@Christie - it is hard to believe our landscape today after yesterday's high of mid-60s. We hope the daffodils survive! Zener is very excited the mama beans get another day home with him! :razz:

Hope everyone is enjoying a spring Sunday. We are in full spring snow mode here at 7000 feet!

Blue is very becoming on Zener!

I can't believe the amount of snow y'all are getting and your picture is stunning. I wish we could have a little bit more cooler weather here. It is already over 80 degrees...it should only be in the high 60's or low 70's. Bizarre weather all around.

Happy Sunday! Zener is blue, a gorgeous snowstorm raging outside, a fire in the fireplace, and maybe a pot of chili on the stove? It all sounds lovely as long as you are safe and cozy. Enjoy!

That is a beautiful pic of the snow from Zener's window! Wow, it must be bad for classes to be cancelled. That's a nice blue at the +6! Enjoy the day off tomorrow.

Still snowing, and Zener is having either a late nadir or the +11 lantus dip. I'm not quite sure how to tell the difference. ;-)

@Georgia - we have about 14" or more right now and still under a winter storm warning for another 7 hours until midnight! Zener looks so good in blue, he decided to try green here at the end of his cycle. :mrgreen:

@Randa - update on Zener from blue to green, check on the snowstorm, but no fire or chili. :oops: We are safe and cozy though! :-D

@Lydia - we're at 7000 feet in northern AZ and March is the month when we typically our largest amount of snow. That is very strange to see record setting warm temps in the midwest! We are regularly shoveling off the back porch and keeping Zener's picnic table clear! :razz:

Kitties taking full advantage of the heating pads this afternoon with some professional catnapping going on! :lol:

Hi guys,

Our snow has vanished (except on the High Peaks) and we hit the 70s today. Very unusual! We are actually going to go for the first paddle of the year on Wednesday (first day of spring). It will probably cool down by then, but the lake we intend to paddle is ice-free already. This will be the earliest paddling ever. As much as I am looking forward to being in my canoe, I would rather have normal weather. This global warming/climate change is frightening in its implications (as well as in its realities).

Well, the kitties don't worry about global warming as long as they have nice warm homes, good food, and nice views of the birds!! Zener came down nicely today. Lagoon tonight, Zener? Rusty is there, waiting for you.

@Ella - very strange weather in the midwest and northeast with all these high temp records! Ah, paddling, water is the one thing we miss here. Zener had to interrupt his test, feed and shoot routine to go outside and watch the last bird feeding frenzy of the evening. I was trying to move his shot time forward just a bit but he had different ideas. The snow brings so much activity, how's a kitty supposed to eat? ;-)

@Amy - we are getting close to 2 feet now and still more predicted for the evening and overnight. By the end of the week, we are predicted to have high 50s and maybe 60, so it won't last long. Zener likes the bird activity that comes with the snow, but does not like having his favorite poo spots covered up! :lol:

@Ann & Maggie - missed your post. :oops: Zener is very happy mama beans will be home all day tomorrow!

Since no school tomorrow, staying up for evening duty and sleeping in is possible. We shall see if Zener has any surprises in store for us this evening. :?

@Tanya - I hope your prediction for dreamland comes true! :-D Zener loves to throw us surprises, so I usually stay up until the night mid-cycle (unless he is bouncing) while Liz does the early morning duty. He is predictably unpredictable! :twisted:

@Sienne - thanks, we are loving these pretty numbers and especially loving how good Zener is feeling! He was bird watching and stalking today despite the snow. What a brave guy! And wow on the 80s in Chicago in March, that's just crazy! :o

Oh, and before I forget...it's still snowing - 2 feet and counting! :shock:
