Making it 'official' huh? Too bad our Sugarcats could care less what WE think is official.

Come on down Jez, play in the water with Lucian. :-D

If she does I won't know cause I didn't go home at lunch....but I really doubt she'll do much of anything today...I just hope her PMPS isn't too high. What will be interesting is tomorrow because I should have those new syringes....so I've been using the plunger width to calculate the small doses......changing to half unit measurments will likely mean the dose gets inadvertently changed a smidge one way or the other......then there's the new lancets.....

Maybe I'll go ahead and switch meters as well....might as well muck everything up at once :).

 You'll do fine! You'll also feel better about her dose, since you'll know you have it much closer to what she needs and not doing so much eyeballing. Even the .75 or other .25 doses are much easier to eyeball with the half unit syringes. :-D

I am SUCH a geek.....the ADW package came today and I'm all excited about the new lancets cause they are blue - and the syringes (though those are some really tiny markings) and the new Arkray VItal meter that needs a bit more blood but has really inexpensive strips.......I of course had to open everything up and play with it even though I need to leave for aerobics in just a bit.

I'll say one thing though - the lancet that comes with it is HUGE and intimidating - as thick around and twice as long as my thumb and as a brand newbie I would have completely freaked out - so its going back in the box for emergency use only.

Jez was not happy about being tested when I got home from work and there was still a bit of food left from lunch so I couldn't even use the "dinners on, you know the rules" bit. Thank heavens I'm bigger and generally smarter than she is...once I have her, she's fine - its just the anticipation that troubles her - much like my own feeling about dentists :)

I quite like the dentist

And, yes, I love opening my packages from ADW, too- so much fun!

Are those the strips that match the Relion Prime? I had thought about switching over to it- even though I use the micro there is still a $.10 difference in the strip price at the store and with ADW's buy 4 boxes get one free that would make them even better.

Yep - just the regular Glucocard Vital- I got the 200 strips and the meter for 44 and change - and I saw the five pack deal as well. Used the ADW550 code and got another five dollars off. I'm guessing its best to stick with one meter so I should use up all my Confirm strips first and then change over...but on the other hand, assuming strips stay fresh for a few weeks it might be better to save the last of the Confirm for times when I'm having trouble getting enough blood - seems like her ears are really chilly when she first wakes up and even with a rice sock, the first prick is the most difficult.

For the record I should say that both my dentist and my periodontist are quite marvelous which is good cause I'm one of those people who has to go every three months, sigh......
