Happy Tuesday, LL!
Yesterday: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=115567
Yesterday's Numbers:
AMPS-307, .50f units
+1.5 - 362
+7 - 352
PMPS - 309, .75 units (dosecrease)
+3.5 - 335
It looks like we might be seeing a break in the bounce tonight (yea!):
AMPS - 318, .75 units
+1.5 - 339
PMPS - 277, .75 units
Thank you Devon, Carla, Ella, Mariko, and Amy for stopping by my condo yesterday and giving me words of encouragement. Everyone here is so supportive, which makes this dance a little easier.
Marje and Jane - thanks for stopping by and mentioning the calipers. We did buy calipers but haven't used them yet. (I've printed out your post on using calipers, Marje. Thank you for that!) I also bought - and have been using - the magnifying lamp that several people here had mentioned. It helps a lot. It also helps that we're not trying to dose in tenths!
Over the past several weeks, we've tried a ton of different foods. I've been trying to find a great food that Jersey loves, which has been hard to do. We've been rotating foods out quite often, and I'm starting to notice some patterns with food intake. For instance, Jersey's bg seems to spike more on the FF than on some other varieties like Spot's and Wellness. From the limited data I have right now, her bg seems to go up around 60 points after eating FF and around 20 points after eating Wellness or Spot's. With that in mind, should I move away from FF, or is 60 a "normal" or "acceptable" food spike? I know ECID....I'm just trying to get some ideas on what would be an ideal (or at least acceptable) food spike. Basically, how much do your kitties bgs typically increase after eating?
I'm sorry I won't be able to visit many condos tonight. It's midterms week, and I'm wrapped up in grading. Ugghhh..... Thank goodness spring break is next week!
Healing vines are being sent to all in need!
