Yesterday's condo

Looks like we got a pretty good bounce going off the St. Patricks Day greens China finally got last night! I actually don't care today because I'm on my way out the door soon to go "oversee" the instillation of DM's new satellite TV service into her apartment, and then a guy is coming out to give us a quote on painting all the walls. DM doesn't really like the "all one color" they have now, and the landlord said we could paint, so we're painting!!

Hope everyone has a nice Tuesday, and I'll get around to visiting later (I hope!!)

Hi guys .. most days bounces are the worst, but every now and then they come in handy, like today when you have a full day ahead of you! But china, after this we need you back to those awesome greens! Have a great day guys!

It's nice when a bounce turns out to be a positive thing. Hope she clears it tonight and gets back to business. I'm thinking green should be one of the new wall colors! :lol:

Well it's been a very long day, and it's not over just yet, but I'm taking a well needed break.

Got the Dish up, and the TV working, but so far, it's the only piece of furniture in the place.....Looks a little strange!

Grabbed a +6 and since she was still sky high (for China) knew I didn't need to worry about her the rest of the afternoon. Really hoping she'll give me a much better number at PMPS though!

I wasn't at all surprised considering her quick drop last night. Silly China..always up for a good cliff dive!!

Thanks for the visits Peter and Tara! I hope she gets back to green soon too...even if it's not one of the paint colors mom chose. (personally, my concern is that her apartment is going to look a bit like an Easter Egg with 3 separate colors, but if it's what she wants, that's what she's going to get!

How nice when a bounce comes in handy :-D Hope China shows you some lower numbers after your out of the house time is done!
Sounds like your mom enjoys some color in her life :-D :-D

I hope China clears the bounce soon. It's nice you can get out and get things done today while she's bouncing. I hope your mom will like the colors once it's been painted.

Nice PMPS...guess she was busy breaking the bounce while I was out getting estimates for painters!

What a crazy difference in estimates I got too! The first guy wanted $2500 with him providing the supplies (he's a professional painter/remodeler in the area and has a great reputation), but we don't own the place! That seems like a LOT for 4 rooms and a hallway! This would include "professional grade" paint and 3 workers working 5 days.

The 2nd guy wants $300 and we can provide the supplies from WalMart if we want to. He didn't have the same professional look about him, but says he can get the job done in 2 days with I think just him and his wife. For that much difference, I'm almost scared to hire this one!

Oh I meant to tell you what color's DM chose too! A light blue for the living room/hallway, yellow for the kitchen and bathroom, and "orchid" for the bedroom (a light pink/purple)

See what I mean by the Easter Egg effect?? :lol: I think when I go to buy the paint, I might tone down the colors just a little...not quite the colors she chose, but very close but a little lighter shade. I'm really concerned about how it'll look with that mix of colors.

Tomorrow is my first recheck with the orthopedic surgeon, so hopefully China will cooperate and surf safe numbers. I'd rather she not bounce, but I'm not in control.

Woo hoo, we're back in greens, go China! :mrgreen: I hope it is now a surf, little girl. No more diving, you are low enough!

Good luck with your recheck tomorrow, Chris. I hope it's a great progress report and that China will cooperate for you :-D. That first painter seems like a crazy price :o ...I hope you can pick some nice colors in nicer shades for your DM. Have a good night!

Whoa China! No need for the dramatics here!! You granted your new with a day pass so she's already pretty tired, now you want to keep her up all night? Come on up sweet girl to a safe, surfable number!

Oh my!! :shock: :shock: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Some cat likes to go high before she goes low! Congrats on the reduction. Might be a chance you'll get that bounce you weren't really looking for tomorrow. ;-) I hope she lets you get some sleep tonight.

Up to 54, so didn't give her any more of the good stuff. Just a teaspoon of the 4% Fancy Feast instead of the 32% stuff.
We tried the Chicken Florentine I'd had a can of laying around for a long time tonight...she licked the "sauce" off and even ate a little of the chicken pieces! On the Gravy Lovers, she only likes the gravy and leaves all of the meat behind every time. The GL's is only 22%, so I'm hoping by eating more of the protein, as well as the carb filled sauce, maybe it'll "hold" her a little better.

As much as it drives everyone here crazy, me included, China's proven she likes to surf right on the line, so trying to get her up without shooting her through the roof is always a delicate dance.

Well, you did say you hoped for a better number for PMPS, Chris, and you got one. Guess she liked all that praise and figured if you were that happy with blue, you'd be ecstatic with green! :mrgreen:

Hope she comes back up a little and surfs so you can get some rest after your busy day.

$2500 and 3 workers for 5 days to paint 4 rooms? What the heck are they doing? Murals??? This isn't the Sistine Chapel! It cost me less than half of that to have the entire exterior of my two story house painted, including trim! Geez! Maybe you need to see if you can get one more estimate that falls somewhere in between (but closer to the second one, I think!)? Good luck with that. It's so sweet you're willing to do Easter egg colors to make your mama happy. :-D

I think we're over the hump now, since she's at 81, so am going to try to take a nap. I have to be up early because I have a lady coming to help me clean house, and then have to be out all afternoon for the orthopedic surgeon check up, so I'm hoping China cooperates!

Hmmm..I wonder if I can get my new housecleaner to learn to home test China? That would be awesome if she would since she only lives about 3 miles away. I'll have to discuss it with her tomorrow...and then (of course) discuss it with CHINA!!

Will be getting another test in a few hours, but may not post it tonight if everything is well.
