3/17 - Xander | AMPS 285

Last yellow AM start was an interesting one… hopefully this time some slightly higher greens :)

That's a good point. Hope it's not quite as interesting today. :nailbiting: Just some regular old greens would be nice, please! lol

Wonder if maybe I should give him something slightly higher carb around +4? He usually gets 1-3% but maybe some 5-6%? Not sure that would even make a real difference, or if I should move straight to the MC 12% to try to prevent the dive.

I mean see what he is later, but you’re in a tough spot because you want him safe obviously and hopefully on 2 units for a bit, but also time in the greens.

Do you have a feel for how the Libre LO values compare to a human meter? I know he’s hard to test.

Yeah, and he tends to be unpredictable. Makes it so much easier to plan! lol

The one and only comparison I was ever able to get between the Libre and a manual test, the Libre was 10 lower. But this wasn't at the "LO" point, he was at 65 on the Libre (75 manual). And that could have just been that individual sensor, so who knows, really. I've tried sooo hard to get more. People do seem to agree that in general the Libre shows lower than reality on the low end, and higher than reality on the high end. So I generally tend to assume he's within 10-20 points of whatever it says if he's at an extreme. Also, while I know this doesn't necessarily mean anything, when he was at "LO" the other day, he was acting totally normal and fine. I'd've never guessed he was that low without the Libre, so I think he was probably actually in the 50s at least.

Hi Brianna, good luck with the new share. I hope it’s a good one and gives you a slow and gentle slide down.
I noticed on 3/10 your Libre failed after spending numerous hours in lower numbers. I have quite often found if Ivy tends to linger in lower stretches, the sensor fails. So it’s just good to be aware that it can happen and maybe just be prepared if you need to replace the sensor you’re on alert.

Have a nice night. Belly rubs for Xander from us :bighug:

Good luck with your increase.

That's really good to know, thank you! Super annoying though. Like, worst possible timing. I'll keep that in mind!

Have a nice night! :bighug:
