3/17 Morris AMPS 436; +9 319; PMPS 266; +2 193

Well, this red is definately better than the black we were seeing last night! Not sure where these big numbers & extra hunger are coming from! Morris ate 1/2 the food I put down for him at dinner time last night before I took his +1 check! I put out a bit more food for him, just in case, & this morning his bowl is completely empty again! For the past several days, I have been feeding him 1/2 can Merrick & 1 can Fancy Feast every 12 hours......last night, he ate 1 can Merrick & 1 can Fancy Feast! Just in case today is another hungry day, I put down 1 can Merrick & 1 can Fancy Feast (he is still free feeding rather than using his timed feeder)

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions???

I'm guessing your current lantus is from Feb 1st or so? Can you double check how old your current lantus is?

Any chance to see a couple of spotchecks tonight? I see you got an early one after PMPS last nite, a before bedtime check might be good, ok? For tonight.

Yes, that is how old it is. It is not down quite as low as my other cartridges have been when I stopped using them, but it is close. I have been wondering if I should open up another cartridge.

That was my before bed time check last night! I have been battling some strange bug since Sunday & it has really sucked the energy right out of me! I spent the entire day Monday sleeping!!! Will try again tonight.....but it sure was a huge effort staying awake to get that +1 in last night, so no promises!

If you have any doubts - then maybe you should change it, it's been about 46 days on it, dont make yourself crazee by wondering, if you have another one, go for it!

Love that little green smiley guy!!!

If Morris is still in the ugly colors this evening, I will go ahead & change the cartridge & see if that makes a difference or not. If, however, he surprises me with nicer colors, I will go back to blaming Shadow & that big bash that is going on today!!! :lol:

I do like this number a lot better than this mornings number! I am not going to get my hopes up too high yet though.....he was a bit lower than this at +9 yesterday & then was up in the black zone by PMPS time!!! Will keep my fingers crossed for a better PMPS tonight!

Thanks Dyana! It appears to have worked!!!!

I did decide to go ahead & open up a new cartridge for tonights dose.....hopefully that will help keep these nicer colors appearing on his ss! He did not eat up all of his food today......I had put down 1 can Merrick & 1 can Fancy Feast for him today......he left about 1/4 can Merrick & 1/2 can Fancy Feast in his dish. Hopefully this hungry spell & high numbers is done with! For tonight, I have dished out 1 can of Merrick (he ate about 1/4 can for dinner at shot time & the rest is available for him whenever he wants to munch on it tonight).

Looks like this St Patty's party that Shadow is hosting tonight is working out well! Morris has been hanging out tonight with all of his friends & they have convinced him to come back down into the nicer looking colors!!! Stu has combined blue & yellow to make green today & now Morris has as well!

Now, I just hope he does not go too low tonight & bounce up in the morning!!!
