Good Morning LL! Dosecrease today! From .5 to .25f. I slept through the +7 alarm (I'm going to blame it on the flu going around here; lovingly referred to as "The Scud" here in our household) and Gobbles woke me up at +9 in quite a cheerful kissy & purring mood. He tested 38 at +9; thence the dose increase. I gave him 1/4 cypro (1 mg.) at +9.75 but appears, at AMPS, to not have really effected his appetite as he ate only 1/3 can of FFLC plus one crunch treaty; perhaps because I gave the cypro to him 15 minutes after he ate at PM+9.5 and 1.75 hours before he ate AMPS...?

Anyways, Happy Mr. Patricks Day! May we all get the Luck O' The Irish and our cats all go OTG! That would be much better than a pot of gold...

YAY Gobbles... already decked out in green for St. Patrick's Day.

Congratulations on the dose reduction !
I hope you get over your scuds soon.

For the future: I wouldn't give cypro at +9.75 because it starts to work (in J.D. anyway) in about a half hour, and you can't shouldn't feed anything between +10 and +12, so it's like (could be like, if it affected him) he's super hungry for those two hours and can't have anything to eat.

The freakin' Scud is still lingering....not as bad, though--however my throat feels like it's on fire...yikes!!!

He sure did surprise me this a.m. when he was at 38--honestly, Gobbles, I like your green suit but not that much!!! Thanks for the hugs and scritches--and the same to you & your sugar-child cat_pet_icon

Scuds moved to my throat and chest, but the body aches are about over (man...now I don't have an excuse to steer clear of the treadmill :evil: ). Wow, what a mean Mom Gobbles has--poor little guy was probably starving to death--he went 2.25 hours without food but I am sure if I took an appetite stimulant (probably similar to when ya just have one of those "hungry days"--happens to me when I get up too early) I'd sure want something to eat!

Hey Kat! sorry to hear about the "scuds" hope everyone feels better soon! :smile: My son, Christopher must have gotten it also cause last night his temp was 102.5.....& I pretty much slept all day yesterday :cry: Glad about Gobby's decrease & I'll post Sabrina's stats in a little while.........Feel Better Cindy & Sabrina cat_pet_icon

from 38 PM+7 to 527 AM+9 with a dose decrease AM today!!! I have a little leeway--the "30 minute" (or 1/15/) move rule--I CAN move the shot earlier (shot at 8:15/8 yesterday and 8 this morning) to 7:30.... What would you do if Gobbles was your cat??? (opinions :-D ) The only concern I have is all the doses decreases that have taken place and since I decreased him from .5 to .25f today's AM cycle, would a 1/2 early shot act like a dose increase??? I hope I am making sense....

I can't be much help. but i would ask if you retested? that seems like one incredible bounce. could it possibly be a bad strip? Yes, an early shot acts like an increase.
I can't help much but you have time for someone who knows to come look and help you. this will bump you up.. don't forget your question mark.

No, I didn't think to re-test but heck, if it would of been the opposite, say low, I wouldn't hesitate! Thanks for suggesting that Mary; I'm so short that alot goes over my head :lol: Yes, an incredible bounce but he's done a blue/black bounce in the past; I'll test him w/2 different meters at PMBG. Thanks for the bump; you are such a sweetie :RAHCAT

30 min. doesn't really make a difference unless Gobbles is very sensitive to the time changes.

Hi Kat,

Hope you all get over the scuds (lol, we call it crud) soon, and feel better. Poor Gobbles, that is a heck of a bounce, hopefully you'll see a lower number at your PMPS time... Fingers crossed.
