Re: 3/17 Checkers amps378 +2/366

Could be a bounce, could be pain, or something else. Unusual behavior make me think pain, or cat :? . I hope Dr. Dave has some answers for Checkers back pain.

Seems I've been saying this a lot lately. Nice and flat, but could we get a better color? :YMSIGH:

Hi Barb!

nice and flat indeed... well you know what they say about flat yellow cycles... maybe he's just waiting to make his move. :-D

I hope you heard from the vet. I have a friend who treats her kitty with acupuncture - swears by it. I hope it will help Checks.

I hope to that you had a good day today.

Michelle, thanks for asking. I did have it written, but deleted, 'cause everyone is busy at night, so try to keep it short. :-D

Dr Dave talked to acupuncture doc and called me this morning. Checkers would be a good candidate for the procedure.

He'll have 3, a week apart, at first, then wait and see if he responds. Since his pain is sporadic, there's no set time to know if it's working.
He required bupe today. He was slow and not getting up on the sink, not following me around. We all know our cat's body language.
I didn't wait for the pain to worsen today. Dr Dave agreed I did the right thing. He called just as I had given it.
Next week is dental. I'll start a few days after that.

Hey Barb, sending vines to sweet Checkers and hoping the acupuncture has good results for him. I know it has helped Punkin, paws crossed that you see a difference in Checkers too!

Have a great weekend Barb!

Hi Barb & Checkers,
We are so sorry to hear that Checkers is in pain today and hope that the acupuncture treatments will help him. We'll be cheering him on. I'm sure that his numbers are influenced by the back pain. Then again, the flat yellow may indeed mean that he will come down again soon. It would be great if he could just bring the whole range down and not do the dive/bounce thing.

Have a good evening and get some good sleep tonight, both of you.

Ella & Rusty

well, methinks Checkers was partying too hard with Rupie and that's why he's a little sore today! Silly boy, sure hope he feels better soon. Vet gave us this stuff called: Sasha Flexi - its a nom nom treat for healthy joints etc.etc. She swears by it. Say the Glucosamine supplements never have enough in them to be any good but this stuff has green lipped mussel in it which is apparently the next greatest thing. Darned expensive.... and of course Rupert won't touch it. Bumley, the older one who definitely has signs of arthritis will eat it only if I hid it in with her 'Hip Action' treats.... grr. Still. the vet said that anything with the green lipped mussel stuff in it is THE stuff to find. Might help you out? Hope Checkers is feeling better soon and up to partying with Rupie again.. but on a nice low floor (see.. it's all those stairs that made him a bit sore!!! up and down all the time! )

Pip, I believe you're right about the stairs. Yesterday, I tried to keep the bathroom door closed, but he sits outside the door, cursing at me. Gonna try again tomorrow to ignore the complaints.

Barb- Checkers, I hate to hear that he is in pain..Moonie has arthritis & I started doing her tests &all on the bed..I usually know when she is hurting, she just sleeps all the day..Hope he feels better tomorrow-
Is it raining there?? Moonie is always worse then..
Hope tomorrow is better--Hugs & Love from us--Feel better Checks!

I hope Checkers is feeling better soon. The acupuncture is worth a try. I think a lot of kits are bouncing after the blowout in the Lagoon last night.

Aw...I'm so sorry that Checks was having pain today. I'm glad you gave him the bupe...I hope it has helped, and I hope the acupuncture helps as well.

Feel better, Checkers :YMHUG: !!

Hi Barb. I hope that the Bupe and then the acupuncture will help your boy's back. Back pain really sucks. Give him a kiss for me.

Re: 3/17 Checkers PMPS 296+2/259+3/260

I hope everybody's right about the flat yellows meaning a break coming. He had some nice greens yesterday, but maybe they came too fast, and this is the result?

Mama's giving the ears a rest now. Sheesh, I kept poking the poor kid all day, thinking, "what if he drops 200 points since last test and I don't catch it." nailbite_smile
