Yesterday's numbers: AMPS-131, ate 3.75U, +6-181 ate, +9.5 225 ate, Pmps-345 ate, +3(15)-252, DH fed +8-9?

Thanks everyone for the hairball remedies. She loves her petromalt and even though it has that sorbitol in it I haven't found any spikes in her bg from it but she actually loves vaseline and butter also and licks them off my finger like a treat like the petromalt so can try those. Last night I put some vaseline on her anus which is an old trick I use and she did make a little hard round ball. This morning some more. So I think the constipation is passing finally. I'll just have to be carefull to give large doses today and something for hairballs.

She was nice and low at her amps so will have to keep a close eye on her today. I think you're right about the reduction. Today is day 5 but that constipation may have thrown her off. We'll see how she does. Hopefully the pinks are gone. She's so sensitive to stress, I've found, more so than anything else.

One of the few places in life that cheers with you when your cat has a happy crap dash. Gotta love LL.

I hope the rest of Racci's day went as well as the first half of your AM cycle.

Thanks Marjorie and Sienne! I love it that I found a place where other people get as happy as I do when our constipated cats have a good day and not only that, have their own term for it! I mean really, how many people understand how important that is? :mrgreen: :lol:

Well, Racci ruined her nice numbers but stayed out of the pink at least with a PMPS of 257.
So to recap:
+3 252, AMPS 115, +6 54, pmps 257.
Will try to get a +2 or hopefully +3.

It was such a beautiful day here today. Our cherry blossom tree right near and overhanging the deck outside is in full bloom and dropping it's petals all over the dek and the birds were sitting and singing in it, using it as a jump off point before flying to the feeder. I was sitting outside cracking peanuts (their favorite) for them and just enjoying it all today whenever I got a chance. I hope it's nice like that again tomorrow. It was definitely a good caturday. :)

I understand with the back legs not working so well that they don't want to go. Vyktor was having a little trouble in that dept before he had his matts shaved off. I wish it was so easy to fix Racci.

Well, you are both very welcome to stop and spend some time if you get out this way. I have a guest room & could make another easily. This is a big house. If anyone deserves it after this week, it's you Serryn. Some relaxation is the name of the game for you! I woke up to a surprise and my majenta tree is in bloom also! I have to go out and cut some of the long (I think they're Hyacinth) tree branches for my dining room table vase.

Yes, it has been really warm and even hot! I love this time of year. The hotter the better for this florida girl. :smile: My poor DIL has allergies to the trees so can't really enjoy it as much so I usually take the 3 year old out for fun in my backyard and DH takes him for adventures in the woods. :lol: Everything is an adventure to him.

At any rate, as you can see, Racci was still going up at +3 last night which is her usual. The other night was unusual for her. this morning she's still yellow. My DH found my treats & gave it with her breakfast that I left him. I had hid the food but not the little cup I keep the treats in. :sad: Have to put a note on Kitchen door in large writing with instructions because he also forgot to warm it. Oh well. My fault. I should have realized he wouldn't remember. Will post today's numbers on another post.
I wish a shave were all Racci needed to help her too but that's only one part of it unfortunately. I can't express her anal glands properly so always wind up having to take her to the vet for that and the constipation requires the miralax all the time because of her hip & leg I think.
