Quincy's definitely having an eventful trial! We awoke around 4am because there was an EQ. No damage, but it was enough to wake me up, which usually doesn't happen with those little tremors (4.4 on Richter scale). I drifted back off to sleep, but then was woken up by the sound of digging, digging, digging in the litter box followed by a stinky smell! So the earth moved and Quincy's bowels moved this AM, all within 90 minutes of his AMBG. Fortunately his +3 was 72, so back in the greens in a big way.

I was thinking about the dawn phenomenon people have talked about a lot, and how there are many days when the only value Quincy has in the blues was/is his AMPS/AMBG. I was wondering if part of the issue is not only when he had his last snack but also the actual time of the test. His test time is at 5:30am, so it really is dawn or almost dawn when he is tested. I wonder if I had followed a schedule like, say, 7am/7pm if he naturally would have been lower, even without breakfast, because the sun was up and Quincy would have been up for a while. Maybe if/when he's OTJ I'll give delaying testing and feeding until 7am on a weekend and give it a try.

Happy Day 12 Laura and Quincy!!
You may have something there, in regards to the Dawn Phenomenon, Laura. I'll be interested in seeing what you find.
Looks like our boys have been talking alot...that 120 ambg then going into the greens  Now, let's hope that they continue on that trend.
Hope you get no more EQ! Glad it wasn't a bad one!
